Salma Hayek appeared on David Letterman where despite being a bit jet-lagged started salivating when she discussed eating bugs.  Did you know little grasshoppers have a ‘smokey’ flavour to them? Mmmmm. Almost time for lunch.  Too bad it’s raining or I would go out hunting for grasshoppers.

Salma Hayek has a soft spot for animals and houses 9 dogs and 5 horses on her ranch.  She talked about her daughter training the Jack Russell.  Her daughter should open up an obedience school because if that girl can train a Jack Russell at the tender age of 2 she could quite possibly teach them to grocery shop by the time she turns 10.

Unfortunately the video kinds of cuts off mid sentence but it’s still enjoyable to watch.

And it’s difficult to believe Al Pacino is 70 years old! He is still working up a storm with several projects in development and in production.

In the shock heard around the world (that is sarcasm by the way) Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi have split up with a rep for the couple confirming to OK! Magazine:

“Jake and Vienna have split and appreciate respect for their privacy at this time.”

I have come to the conclusion (years ago) that the only reason people go on that show is for fame.  I know, obvious conclusion right? It’s almost an insult to the intelligence of the viewer to be expected to believe it’s all about ‘love’. None of the couples stay together, with the exception of 1 or 2 and I’m so bored by this topic I can’t even remember their names.

The odds of someone finding the right person on TV are fairly slim. You have a better chance of meeting someone at Walmart. And you’ve seen the People of Walmart.

Vienna appeared at the Jonah Hex premiere on Thursday last week solo and I wondered about that as I was writing the post but quickly lost interest when I had the opportunity to watch paint dry as that was much more fulfilling.

Tyler Perry has been very busy with his films but is heading back out in September with his MADEA’S BIG HAPPY FAMILY tour and announced Saturday to his fans the tour dates and in some cases when tickets go on sale to the general public.

He wrote on his site to his fans:

Shhhh…

Ok, I wanted you to be the first to know that tickets start going on sale
for the Fall Tour of MADEA’S BIG HAPPY FAMILY as early as today.  As you
all know, I have been on tour all this year and I took this summer off to
do two movies, but  I am looking forward to finishing out the tour and
seeing all of your faces.

Before tickets are announced to the general public, I wanted to give you a
heads up so you could get good seats.  You’ve been following my emails for
so long that I wanted you to have an opportunity to be up close and
personal.   But not too close, Madea is really ugly up close…LOL.

This tour started in January and we have been filling theatres and arenas
all over the country.  I wish I had more time to go to more cities but I
don’t (studio stuff), so just know that if you can, you should be there to
witness this play.  I promise you will leave feeling better than when you
came in.  Get ready for a good time and bring some pain pills because you
will laugh until it hurts…I assure you!

I wanted you to know first before the advertising starts to the general
public.  Ok, so pass it on and I’ll see you in your city.

Boo  No Canadian dates.  Well I suppose he is quite a busy man with currently filming a movie and also having a few in development.

I freakin love the shoes that Miley Cyrus is wearing in the photo above.  The outfit is lovely but I think it’s a bit too old for her to be honest.  Not  that I’m bashing her, in this post, but I keep reminding myself she is only 17.  And on top of that I don’t even like the whole open-toed boot that is popular this summer but with those I could totally rock them in my sweat pants at Walmart.

All the rabid Justin Bieber fans came close to having their first coronary when the Bieb took to the stage last night (actually they went c-r-a-z-y when he hit the red carpet).

I’m not a huge fan of Ke$ha but I enjoyed her performance.  Did she lip synch? I couldn’t tell.
