This morning, the 62nd Annual Emmy Award nominations were announced and it’s looking like one of the front-runner is Glee. The show picked up 19 nominations.  However that’s second place to The Pacific which earned 24 nominations. How many categories are there?

Mad Men (you must watch, you will become addicted, it’s about advertising agencies in the 60′s in New York) picked up 17 nominations, including Best Drama Series. Also in that category ‘Breaking Bad’, ‘Lost’, ‘True Blood’, ‘The Good Wife’ and ‘Dexter’.

I’ve not watched The Pacific but I hear so many good things about it.  According to imdb it is:

A 10-part mini-series from the creators of “Band of Brothers” telling the intertwined stories of three Marines during America’s battle with the Japanese in the Pacific during World War II.

I watch so much TV I’m surprised I’m able to form sentences or interact with humans, so this award show is one of my all-time favourites. Do you love? Do you have a favourite award show?

You know it’s a slow news day when an entire post is dedicated to a spa treatment of some sort.  Here Kim Kardashian goes to the Anastacia salon which is THE place to go to to get your brows done.  I wish to hell I had thicker eyebrows. Not Abe Vigoda thick (you youngins think of the muppet Oscar the Grouch with brows on steroids) but thicker than what I currently have.

Anyhoo, I’m glad Kim seemingly has a man that is crazy about her.  I don’t think Reggie Bush was crazy enough about her. I remember when they showed up at last years Much Music Awards he seemed irritated to be there. Obviously I don’t know what was going on in their lives at the time, for all I know he could have had hemorrhoids. Whatever.  Anyways I think I’m just talking out of my ass now and I should end this post.

Singer Kelis is pictured here celebrating the launch of her album Flesh Tone at RDV in SoHo, New York.

She was legally divorced from her husband Nas in May but not before some battling over spousal and child support (the two have a baby boy Knight together). The couple have since settled their differences and she tells the Associated Press:

“My kid is the center of my world. I don’t leave him ever. I take him with me everywhere. I was married. It didn’t work out. The most amazing thing came out of it. I am good with that.”

“(Knight) will never read anywhere that I said anything negative about his father. It doesn’t matter whether it’s true or not. Because at the end of the day he needs to know he did come from love.”

Now that’s a beautiful thing!

I really didn’t know how else to headline this story.  I think the heat has melted part of my brain. This whole deal with headlines screaming ‘Jessica Simpson and Her Married Boyfriend’ is so lame it’s tragic because then the very same article goes on to state he filed for divorce from his wife in January.  So why are you trying to make the headline scandalous when in fact in his mind, his wife’s mind, their families’ minds they are NOT married.

Married means committed to sharing a life together and living in the same house (for the most part unless of course there is travelling for business involved and/or someone has to rush out and get a bucket of chicken or something).

Jessica and her boyfriend tight end (I would like proof please and thanks) Eric Johnson have been dating for 5 weeks. He isn’t cheating on his wife, Jessica isn’t a home wrecker (and don’t even get me started on how everyone LOVES to blame the woman even though men really do have choices to cheat or not.  Shocking I know), they aren’t hiding the relationship, it’s all out in the open.  In fact Jessica spends time with his family.

I can understand the big deal if he was simply separated (and newly separated at that) and/or he was wavering on filing for divorce.  But filing  for divorce is pretty clear:  the marriage is over. The girl deserves happiness.  She’s had way too many douches in her life.

It just really burns my biscuits when they have headlines that are ridiculous. This rant has concluded.  To see a picture of the two you can go here.

Those lucky stars of Gossip Girl are still filming their scenes on the streets of Paris, France where in addition to more pictures of Blake Lively and Leighton Meester, Ed Westwick and newcomer Clemence Poesy are on the scene.

Lucky for them that the Paris Fashion Week is also going on while they are there.   I wonder if that was planned or not? Perhaps it’s part of the script.
