Katy Perry is set to be the first ever musical artist to participate in the YouTube moderator platform.  Previous moderators include President Obama and James Cameron.

Fans can log in to YouTube and submit text and video questions on Katy’s page.  The best will rise to the top via voting and Katy will return later this month to answer the most popular submissions.  Check out her personal video announcing the event here.

It must be coupon day for former reality stars of The Bachelorette/The Bachelore series because here, the latest Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky is getting her hair did. The  girl is also text messaging (looks like that anyways) while doing so and if I worked at that salon I’d be reading what she wrote.  Yeah, I’d probably give her the wrong colour or cut, but hair grows back.

However, how busy or hungry does one have to be to eat while your hair is getting done? Um, gross.  I think the odds of getting a hair in your food at a beauty salon are significantly higher than anywhere else, yes?

So let’s talk about this past week’s Bachelorette.  I was a little disappointed that we didn’t see what went down with her and crazy-eyes Frank because the week before they showed a preview of him saying ‘Ali we have to talk‘ and her face dropping.

Who saw that coming? What girl wouldn’t get a complex at this point, right? They were both crying and oddly enough Frank doesn’t look so crazy-like when he cries. That’s kind of a beautiful thing.  But I love Frank because he looks at her with such intensity that it appeals to my stalker sensibilities.

Who do you think Ali will pick? Apparently she is engaged so she picked someone. Up until I saw Frank and Ali crying I would have thought it was him because they seem to have great chemistry.  The way he touches her is very hot.  Did you see the way he was stroking her arm in the Helicoptor.  I would have pushed the other dude out and gotten horizontal.  But maybe that’s just me?

I didn’t bother to do a post about the showdown between Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi after Monday night’s Bachelorette. However I will say that despite my not caring at all for Vienna before that particular show, I have come to realize that (in my opinion) Jake is a smug, passive-aggressive bag de la douche. I eat guys like him for breakfast. And not in the way they hope.

Although Vienna‘s constant interruption would drive me NUTS, that was a girl who was very distraught and that didn’t look like acting to me.

Mr. ‘I have a publicist’ Jake seems to be out to simply get famous.  Perhaps this is why he didn’t choose the other girl and chose Vienna instead:  the other girl seemed much more (what we now realize is) his type. So why didn’t he choose her then? What the hell is Anne talking about now? Well if he was really looking for love, he would have chosen his type. Seems to me he wasn’t really looking for love.  But then again is anyone on those shows?

Anyways, Vienna is seen here getting her hair did.  And ladies what is the best revenge?  Looking fabulous.  Holla bitches.

According to the Daily Mail Cheryl Cole‘s malaria is worse than expected as she now has fluid on her lungs. She and rumoured lover Dancing With The Stars’ Derek Hough travelled to Tanzania where it is believe she was bitten by an infected mosquito with the disease.

A  visitor at the hospital Cheryl is in ICU said:

‘I’ve seen Cheryl’s mum and Derek in there. They stayed overnight last night. I overheard Derek on his phone saying she’s got fluid on her lungs.’

Last night, a close friend of the singer’s told the Mail:

‘She has got fluid on the lungs. She’s not good, no. She’s still in intensive care so it doesn’t look like she’ll be out of hospital for a while yet.’

Apparently Derek‘s stepfather Aaron Nelson, 54, told The Sun:

‘Derek feels guilty. He is very distressed about all this. ’He feels he has done this to her. He rang his mom yesterday in tears.

‘Derek feels it’s all his fault. He organised the holiday as something wonderful. For it to end up like this is terrible. He feels dreadful.’

It is believed that Cheryl is suffering from falciparum malaria which is the deadliest form of the disease.  It is believe she caught the disease in time and will not suffer organ damage as a result but that it will be weeks before she is up and about.

I don’t know how accurate these reports are because I don’t know if these magazine’s are credible or not but regardless we wish Cheryl a complete recovery and send our prayers to her family and friends.

Update:  Cheryl has left ICU and is recovering at a private hospital.  That’s great news!

Danni Minogue became a first time mother 5 days ago and rather than accept a magazine’s offer of the first baby pictures for £100,000 she published it on Twitter! Now that is really awesome isn’t it?

Danni, baby Ethan Edward and Ethan’s baby-daddy Kris Smith, 32 are pictured looking so happy! Well the baby is sleeping, but I’m sure once he’s old enough it will realize how lucky he is and be smiling a lot.
