Erin Andrews Goes To Washington In Fight For Tougher Anti-Stalking Laws

ESPN reporter and DWTS’ hottie, Erin Andrews went to Washington yesterday where she held a press conference to fight for victims of stalkers imploring for tougher anti-stalking laws.
As you will recall Erin became famous when videos of her naked in the privacy of her hotel room (during ESPN gigs) surfaced on the internet that were the result of creepo Michael David Barrett selling them. He was later sentenced to 30 months in prison and ordered to register as a sex offender.
Erin was joined by bill’s sponsors, Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) and Reps. Loretta Sanchez (D-Calif.), VirginiaFoxx (R-N.C.), Scott Murphy (D-N.Y.), andLeonard Boswell (D-Iowa).
She says of her ordeal:
“You never really feel safe again,” she said, “and I’m just one of so many women this happens to.”
The bill is called the “Simplifying the Ambiguous Law, Keeping Everyone Reliably Safe (Stalkers) Act.” The laws have not kept up with modern technology and California Representative Loretta Sanchez says:
“Currently federal laws can’t be enforced unless stalking victims can demonstrate reasonable fear of physical injury,” “Sometimes that’s too late.”
As much as I love the internet, it’s a Petri dish for freaks.
