Holy payday batman.  The cast of Jersey Shore will be returning for season 2.5 after all as a source tells the The Hollywood Reporter that the cast are all very close to signing a deal with a very lovely pay raise.

Apparently in season 1 they earned $5,000 an episode and in season 2 earned $10,000 an episode.  Shooting was to resume yesterday but the cast refused to film unless they got an increase.  They were asking for $30,000 an episode (a 200% increase) and although they didn’t get that:

MTV is countering with a number that’s close to that figure, and at least a couple key members of the cast are expected to accept by the end of the day.

However it is expected that the increase will not take place until they start filming season 3.  They are in the middle of a 24 show season.

Not everyone is expected to get the same rate and it’s being suggested The Situation was offered a hefty bonus should the season meet certain ratings.

I need to bone up on my Jersey accent and hit the tanning beds, stat.

I’m really starting to resent Victoria Silvstedt.  Not because she’s gorgeous or because she looks smoking hot in a bikini, but because her life consists of hanging out on a boat in the south of France.

While I realize to the average person blogging from my basement sounds super glamorous and all, I’m pretty sure yachting in Saint Tropez is better.  :)

So in my quest to fill this space up with a bit more than Victoria Silvstedt is in a bikini in Saint Tropez, I looked to IMDB to see if I could find out anything more on her and this personal quote of hers is the only thing I found (other than her breast size which as of 1996 was 35-1/2):

“I think a look is important only in live performances. Boys want to see a pretty girl instead of a ugly girl.”

See? You don’t have to be a member of Mensa to enjoy the high life.

Is it just me or on Monday nights when The Bachelorette airs do we get a little extra helping of Ali Fedotowsky out and about during the day?

Did you watch tonight?  I don’t want to ruin it for people but I think it is as it should be.  The final two guys that is. What do you think?

I was given access to Sons Of Sylvia’s latest album Revelation and I have to say I really enjoyed it. The album was recorded in Nashville, Los Angeles, and Vancouver and featured production by Jack Joseph Puig, Ryan Tedder, Jeff Trott, Brian Howes, Gerald O’Brien, Catt Gravitt, and Mike Shimshack along with co-writes by them and Lindy Robbin.

The first single from the album Love Left To Lose is excellent with a great beat. I love the part where they sing ‘Whatcha waiting for? one more step and you’re out the door‘:

John Wayne is a romantic song where a man professes love for a woman (I want you back in my arms) that captures the west feel with banjos, strings and a melancholy type of vibe throughout. Very cool song.

50 Ways is, to me (and remember I’m not a music critic but I know what I like when I hear it) kind of rock, pop-like, and fusion all mixed in.

Song of Solomon is beautifully written with beautiful strings as well.  It talks about having faith, not doing anything in vain. ‘Love will conquer all’ is the message behind this song about hope.

I LOVED the beat of Give Me Love.

The War Within sounds very much like the military at the beginning with some very dark guitar riffs.  Cool guitar riffs. I immediately thought Slash meets Bono at the beginning of the song.

Mr Big himself Chris Noth attended the launch of Live Table Games at Parx Casino in Bensalem, Pennsylvania on the weekend.

Judging by the look on his face I don’t think his roll at the craps table worked out to his liking.

Chris also shows off a Sex and the City slot machine.  And if you notice Mr Big is on top. You know that’s no coincidence   He looks mischievous in these pictures which has started my motor purring a little.
