Speaking in Spike Lee’s documentary about New Orleans, Brad Pitt doesn’t hold back on his feelings for BP and those responsible for the oil spill:

“I was never for the death penalty before,” he says. “I am willing to look at it again.

Spike Lee’s ‘If God Is Willing and Da Creek Don’t Rise‘ is a four-hour followup to Lee’s 2006 film ‘When the Levees Broke: A Requiem in Four Acts and airs tonight and tomorrow 9/8 c on HBO.

There are two subjects I really try to stay away from:  religion and politics, but I have to say I am quite baffled as to why those responsible at BP haven’t even served any jail time.

Dancing With The Stars‘ season 10 winner of the coveted disco ball trophy Nicole Scherzinger attended last night’s Audi cocktail party to kick off Emmy week. It was held at Cecconi’s in Los Angeles.

There are rumours that Nicole could become a permanent judge on X-Factor and that during her judging stint, she “didn’t take any sh*t” from the men.  I just love this girl more and more.  According to an insider to The Daily Star:

“I think she’d also disagree with Simon and Louis on purpose just to wind them up.

“She would be great for the show if she did land a permanent part in the future.”

This is the week where celebrities party and pick up lots of free swag. Summer may be ending but the silver lining in that is that new television programming is just around the corner.

Tonight during Bachelor Pad we will learn the line up of stars for the 11th season of Dancing With The Stars and I am so excited I am going to break down and actually watch Bachelor Pad. It looks like way too much emotional drama for me but I will suck it up for the sake of Dancing With The Stars.

Honouring technical achievements behind the camera, as well awarding guest stars, The 2010 Creative Arts Emmy Awards were held in Los Angeles just ahead of the 2010 Emmy Awards (which air August 29, 2010).

Betty White was awarded for her guest hosting of Saturday Night Live which was the result of a Facebook campaign for her to host. She won the Guest Actress in a Comedy Series award. She didn’t attend last night’s awards. John Lithgow and Clyde Phillips accepted on her behalf.

Also winning for his hosting role of The 2009 Tony Awards was Neil Patrick Harris. He also won for his guest role on Glee.

When he won he thanked Los Angeles Times forums moderator Chris Boomer who was the one who pointed out NPH was missing  from the list of nominations:

“I just want to thank Boomer from The Envelope, or I wouldn’t have gotten this.”

Neil is also up for best supporting actor in a series, for How I Met Your Mother at next Sunday’s Emmys. You know the new television season is just around the corner when the award shows start happening! Me so excited.

Dancing With The Stars‘ professionals Chelsie Hightower and Mark Ballas pose together on the red carpet at last night’s Creative Arts Emmy Awards.  Their fellow colleague Derek Hough was also there (without Cheryl Cole from what I can see) as were tons of other stars.  I LOVE Mark’s hair like that.  Purrrrrrr.

Maria Canals Barrera’s dress was absolutely exquisite.  I would wear that frock to the grocery store just because I have no where else to where it.  I would normally have put her picture as the main one but I had to put Chelsie’s and Mark’s especially because tomorrow night on Bachelor Pad the Dancing With The Stars‘ Season 11 lineup will be revealed! Holla!

In addition to Cousin Itt, Paloma Faith also performed at London’s V Festival yesterday (or today) with her pretty, frilly umbrella, plastic tiara and bejeweled tears.

Did you know she holds an MA in Scenography? What the hell is Scenography you ask? According to Free Dictionary.com it is:

The art of representing objects in perspective, especially as applied in the design and painting of theatrical scenery
