Michael Douglas Discusses Cancer Diagnosis With David Letterman
Michael Douglas appeared on David Letterman last night where he talked about his cancer diagnosis. He found out about 3 weeks ago that he has Stage IV Throat Cancer but that it isn’t spreading so he is hopeful and the doctors are giving it about an 80% success rate of beating the disease.
Michael had a sore throat at the beginning of the summer that wouldn’t go away. After a series of tests they found nothing and it wasn’t until he returned from Spain that a doctor looked at his throat, took a swab and came back with the diagnosis.
This past week he started his first week of chemotherapy and radiation and will be doing so for 8 weeks in total. He was in good form despite the diagnosis.
We wish Michael all the best and send out our thoughts and prayers.
