Miley Cyrus is getting another round of shock and horror responses for her “behavior” and I am still rolling my eyes over it. The crowd who still believes that Miley Cyrus is Hannah Montana is throwing a huge hissy fit over her latest music video, ‘Who Owns My Heart.’

I will concede that this is Miley’s hottest, most provocative performance to date..but, that’s the point. Miley doesn’t want to be in the Hannah Montana category anymore. Those days are behind her and she’s out to turn on the adult world, and it’s working.
This video is so sexually charged, you can’t talk your way out of it. Miley works the camera in her undies and bumps and grinds in a barely there outfit that you would never see her wear in real life. But there’s my point. Music videos are like short movies. They are acting. This isn’t Miley Cyrus. This is a character coming out of the lyrics in her song.

I don’t know where you’ve been, but Miley is still in the middle of her last season as “Hannah Montana”. BTW… In her “Hannah Montana” show, she also plays the “Miley” character. Did I mention she’s still only 17? Her fan base IS little girls, tweens and teens. You’d know that if you went to one of her concerts just last year. I get that she wants to “break out” and she’s coming of age…. but she’s riding the Disney train. Why not wait ’til that ends… She wants to grow up so fast, but a real (and mature) grown up would be patient enough to wait until the Disney stuff really ends.
Hate to say it, but I like this song. Very catchy and good beat. I guess Fans are going to either have to move on with her or move away……she’s going full steam ahead. If her Parents don’t mind …..I guess it’s not our biz.
I know it’s hard to reconcile she’s growing up but you’re right it isn’t our biz.
you know, Miley Cyrus isn’t the only one that has little girls, tweens, and teens looking at her. Look at Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Ke$ha, Katy Perry and Beyonce. Do you really think that kids don’t know about them? People can’t be saying how Miley Cyrus is a terrible influence when this type of stuff is ALL around kids ALL the time.
