“Christina has got sick of all the talk of her being the curviest woman in Hollywood. For her it basically meant she was being called fat, says a source. Now she’s gone against everything she believed in before by going on the first diet of her life. Christina’s cut out carbs, and alcohol, although she’s not a big drinker. She’s eating fish oil to break down fat and pak choi and edamame nearly every meal. She hopes the first stone (15 lbs) will fall off in the next month or so.”

It’s a sad day when someone is tauted as being naturally beautiful can no longer stand the pressure and chooses to drastically change. While I understand her being self conscious while standing next to very thin Hollywood women, I just wish she had the courage and conviction to stand up for herself. Health is the most important reason for losing such a large amount of weight and there was no mention of that from her. It’s a sad day…western society’s image of beauty has stolen another womans belief in her true self.

It is very sad that she feels she needs to succumb to Hollywood’s idea of beauty.

This isn’t just sad, it’s tragic. I was honestly hoping she was part of a trend to go back to classic ideals of beauty, instead of the half-starved waif look that’s become popular in the past decade or two.
I really hope she is bluffing, or changes her mind.
