Today just may be the day a major organ of mine bursts from excitement.  That, or I pee myself. Russell Brand is going to be chatting live with New York Times culture reporter Dave Itzkoff at 6 p.m. ET.

He will be discussing My Booky Wook 2: This Times It’s Personal,” his role in Julie Taymor’s film of “The Tempest,” and starring in the title role of the remake of “Arthur.”

Will you be watcing?

Is this where Carrie Prejean is going to “redeem” herself?  Survivor 22 news is heating up reality TV junkies (yes, that includes me.)  The 21st season is the one airing right now, but next season is looking a lot more juicy than this Old vs Young one.

So far we’ve got a Boston Rob vs Russell Hantz lineup and now, we’ve got the controversial, Carrie Prejean on board.  All the political and gay rights stuff aside, can you imagine Carrie on Survivor?  She is such a girly girl.  How can she survive the elements?  If she goes head to head with Russell Hantz, she will crumble.  He’s one of the best, if not the best player in Survivor history… she can’t deal with that!

Plus, we know that Carrie will go in with a huge disadvantage when the other castmates that support gay rights get one look at her.  It’s going to be ugly.

What do you think?  Does Carrie Prejean have a chance in hell surviving past the first Tribal Council on Survivor 22?  One thing is for sure.  Ratings boost.

Paris Hilton is officially a thing of Doug Reinhardt’s past.  So who caught this blonde loving guy’s eye now?  Another hot blonde of course.  ’Make It or Break It‘ star, Cassie Scerbo is Doug’s new trophy girlfriend.

Paris Hilton Adds To Her Empire

The sexy new couple met at the Locks of Love (above) event at the Skybar and have been inseparable ever since,

“I’ve hung out with him every day since! He has a great family, and I just find him to be a really classy, great guy. He’s very respectful.  He’s tall and cute and I think he’s a pretty good catch!”

So Cassie has already met the family?  It’s only been a week!  Perhaps these two are going to be more than just bed buddies.  I can feel the wrath of Paris Hilton fuming.

With all of the celebrity divorce news owning the internet today, it’s nice to hear some happy wedding news….even if it is sort of dated.  ’Friends‘ alum, David Schwimmer and his fiancee, Zoe Buckman announced their engagement back in March.  What we didn’t know was that they had the wedding in a private ceremony in June, four months ago!

Wanting to keep things intimate and under the radar, the newlyweds had the wedding of their dreams.  Good for them!  They make a very cute couple.

Courtney Cox and David Arquette Have Been Separated for MONTHS

Zoe and David met in 2007 in London when she waited on him at her restaurant job.  She ended up relocating to Los Angeles to be with him.  I guess that was some serious love at first sight.  Very sweet.

Mischa Barton admitted to Ok! Magazine’s British edition that it’s been one hell of a year:

“That was a tumultuous year. It was one thing after another and it lead to a pretty reasonable breakdown.  “I suffer from depression and that’s the truth. I’ve never told anybody that.”

Despite her questionable choice of clothes, she’s no crazy lady:

“I am by no means mentally unstable. Well I am pretty crazy and weird sometimes, but not mentally unstable,”

“I balance [depression] with positive things in my life and that’s why I have my outlets of music and literature…As much as I get down, I’m an upbeat person. People always think of me as kind of a light in a room – I love to make people laugh.”

One person she doesn’t care to make laugh is Fearne Cotton.  The two were seen filming in Los Angeles in August for a documentary Fearne was working on and it cast Mischa in a bad light and now homegirl is pissed:

“I can’t hear Fearne’s name without seeing red…I cried my eyes out when I first saw it.

“I wish I hadn’t done it and that’s bad because there are enough misconceptions about me in the press. She’s got nothing to lose if she makes a more salacious story, she’s only got everything to gain.

“I just find her messed up to be honest.”

Apparently during the shooting Mischa kept Ms. Cotton waiting and she was pissed about it:

“Fearne never let on that she was irritated about waiting. She acts like everything’s so great and she loves you and they cut it together and make it seem like it was a terribly painful experience for them.

“I don’t want to start a feud with her, it’s not worth it to me. She likes the fame, it doesn’t affect her like it affects the people she’s documenting.”

Isn’t that what most shows do in the editing room? Drama sells and they always edit it to make it juicy and titillating.

Matt Damon used to enjoy the nightlife before being married with kids but now he enjoys having his basic needs met:

“I remember ten years ago my brother would come and visit me. His kids were toddlers at the time. He would call me up and say, ‘I’m coming to New York for one night.’ I’d say, ‘OK listen we’ll go to this bar down the street,’ and he’d say, ‘No, no, no, here’s what we’re going to do. We’re gonna go, we’ll have dinner, I’ll have a couple of beers and then I’m going to go to sleep. And in the morning you’re not going to wake me up.’ And I remember thinking that sounds like the lamest thing but now our idea of a really nice night is if we could get a quiet dinner and a good night sleep, that’s about it,”

He and his wife Luciana are expecting another girl (they raise 3 girls together now, one from her previous marriage and two together) and being in New York is helping with her cravings:

“I’m probably not pampering her enough,” he laughed. “The one good thing I’ll say about [living in] New York as a dad is like, whatever craving she has, not only is it less than a block away but most times they’ll deliver. So it makes it really easy.”

I can’t imagine Matt Damon not being attentive to his wife. These pictures are from the weekend where they attended the closing of the New York Film Festival with the Hereafter premiere.
