Gerard Butler Sang For His Birthday Supper

Gerard is seen leaving Cecconi’s in West Hollywood where he had a late lunch. Maybe it had something to do with him being in talks to be part of the comic-book adaptation Afterburn.  And not the kind where you need Penicillin I’m sure  I hope!

The sci-fi comic is written by Paul Ens and Scott Chitwood (am I the only one who sees the humour in the surnames Ens and Chitwood???). Scott thinks things are a bit premature (geezuz all this innuendo is writing itself making me crazy):

“We’re excited…but as the reports stated, they’re still ‘in talks’ so it’s a tad premature.

“But I think Gerard Butler would make a great lead in Afterburn. We wrote the character as a modern cross between Indiana Jones and Mad Max, and I think Butler has shown in the past he’s capable of portraying both of their qualities.”

Oh yes.  If I may suggest to Mr. Chitwood, I think I can speak for all of us when I say Gerard needs to do a good portion of this film nude. Thank you Mr. Chitwood.

All of Sarah Palin’s “haters” have been taking their hate out on Bristol Palin each week that she survives on Dancing With The Stars.  I don’t want to get into the politics of it or even take sides.  All I really want to do is point out the biggest douche bag on the planet… as of today that is.  Who knows what whack job will surface tomorrow.

Anyhow, the DB is a 67-year-old named Steven Cowan and he’s a resident of Wisconsin. Yesterday he was so disturbed by Bristol’s dance on Monday night that he pulled out his shotgun and blew up his TV.  Yeah, he’s not crazy.  Then, as if that wasn’t enough, he then pointed the gun at his wife.  Huh?!  Wha?!  Thank God she was quick and bolted from the house before he blew her away too.

The SWAT team had to surround the house, then the cops talked Cowan out, before he shot anything else.  He told the cops that,

“he felt Palin was not a good dancer and that she was only on the show because of her famous mother.”

The cops say that they think he has bipolar disorder.  Um, he’s got something alright!  As morbid as it sounds, I am glad he blew up when he did, over Monday’s show.  Imagine what would have happened if he watched Bristol advance to the finals last night! He probably would have gone on a killing spree… or committed suicide.  Seriously!  The guy is all wrong.

Steven Cowan was charged with 2nd degree reckless endangerment.  Who knows if he will be convicted though, with the whole bipolar angle.  If he does, it could be 10 years in the slammer.  I highly recommend 10 years in a padded room.

Katie Price was at Worx in London, launching her  new fragrance ‘Precious Love‘ and she left any class she might have (don’t think that’s possible) at home.  From the looks of these photos, the fragrance is terrible.  If it was good, I would imagine that it could sell itself.  Sex does sell, but I think this is a huge turnoff, don’t you?  I mean, looking at these photos feels like I am watching the trailer to some new porno.

Someone needs to check the water supply in Tinseltown because divorce is becoming epidemic there. Canadian basketball star (and two-time MVP winner Steve Nash and his wife Alejandra Amarilla celebrated the birth of 3rd child, Matteo and today they are announcing a split:

“After five years, we are now in the process of dissolving our marriage. While we have lived separately for the past several months, we remain firmly committed to raising our children in the most positive, nurturing way possible,”

That’s sad but it’s great that they are committed to putting the kids first.

Oh goody!  It’s another book by Kendra Wilkinson!  Her first book, Sliding Into Home only released in July of this year and she’s working on another one?  Well, I guess that when your husband is thousands of miles away, you have a lot of time on your hands?

They just aren’t that exciting. Demi Lovato isn’t leaving rehab any time soon.  She is putting forth every effort to get better and come out a different person.  So it looks like that means staying put, even through the holidays.

“Recent reports stating that Demi Lovato will be out of treatment by Thanksgiving are false.  While she would, of course, love to be home for the holidays, she remains committed first and foremost to her treatment.  Demi has made tremendous progress to date, but understands that she has more work to do.  Unfortunately, the news outlet that reported this story originally failed to call us for comment or to fact check the story before it was printed.”

I definitely believe that Demi is making the right choice.  It’s a tough one.  But it proves that she is serious about this.  I just feel rather sad for her.  The holidays are the best time of year and not spending them at home, with your loved ones is like pure torture.  I’ll be eating a little extra turkey for you this year, Demi.
