Julia Roberts was the first actress to get a $20 Million paycheque and now she has been paid £1.14 Million (roughly $1,777,000 USD) for a 45 second part in a commercial in which she doesn’t speak. Can you imagine being paid that kind of coin for 45 seconds and not speaking.  I would go without speaking for a week if I could bank that.

The commercial will hit televisions in Italy over the Christmas holiday for Italian coffee makers Lavazza.  She appears as Botticelli’s Venus in a setting in clouds.

She smiles throughout the video while the 3 male actors speak to her in Italian and it ends with her winking at the camera. I’m sure she didn’t have a clue what they were saying but was smiling as she probably saw 3 dollar signs instead of actors. Bitch. I’m kidding.  Not really.

Justin Bieber appeared on X-Factor where he sang Somebody to Love and Baby much to the delight of all the screaming girls in the audience.

He enjoyed his time on the show and admitted that Simon Cowell is a fan of his:

“X Factor we had fun. Simon told me he listens to my cd every night before he goes to bed.”

I’m not sure if Justin was being funny or Simon was being funny to him, but I just can’t picture Simon nodding off to sleep with Justin singing in his ears.

Who can blame either of them, really? They are both beautiful people who seem to ‘click’.  A source told The Daily Mirror:

“Rosie has given up her rented accommodation and has moved into Jason’s Hollywood mansion.

“They’re living very much like a married couple now and they’re blissfully happy. Jason’s keeping her feet on the ground and knows Hollywood like the back of his hand. She’s new to acting and career wise everything is moving quickly – but she’s totally smitten.”

I’m not sure just how reliable The Daily Mirror is for its accuracy but they do seem quite smitten with one another. The source added:

“He was ready to settle down and it has worked out perfectly. I wouldn’t be surprised if they got engaged in the near future.”

That would not surprise me either. What do you think, too soon or just perfect?

Canadian funny-man Leslie Nielsen has died his agent has confirmed.

The 84 year old actor/comedian died of complications from pneumonia in Florida at around 5:34 p.m. ET surrounded by his fourth wife Barbaree Earl who he had been married to since 2001, and friends.

Despite having a decades’ long career in television and film he is probably best known for his role in Police Squad, Airplane and the Naked Gun series.

He was born in Regina, Saskatchewan and was raised in the Northwest Territories where he left to attend the  Academy of Radio Arts in Toronto before moving to New York.

Our sincere condolences to his family and friends for the loss of such a wonderful man.

Hello Mischa Barton!  Where did you come from?!  These photos from the December issue of Tattler Magazine remind me of the old days.  Back when Mischa was nothing less than fabulous.  We have seen her go through a lot of bad fashion statements and some emotional roller coasters since her ’5150 days’ and it’s refreshing to see her back.

In her interview, she spoke about the whole 5150 fiasco, and it really isn’t like the public thought it was.  It all stemmed from her wisdom teeth surgery that left her a total wreck and landed her locked up in the hospital,

“I had infections and I couldn’t eat anything except Slush Puppies for three months and I can’t tell you how awful it was.  Anyway, I’d had enough and I went to the hospital.  I was in a lot of pain and if they feel you are depressed or a danger to yourself they can hold you on a 5150.  I am terrified of needles and they wanted to pump me full of drugs and I said, “No, absolutely not. I don’t want to be here,” and got into a fight with the nurses, and that led to my 5150.  Part of me wishes those things had never happened in the public eye. I wish I could have been perfect.  For ages after that 5150 I’d walk down the street and people would give me the crazy eye: “There’s Mischa Barton, she’s insane, isn’t she?”

That is awful.  I feel so bad for her!  I admit that I was one of those people who thought she’d lost it.  How unfair.  Sure she’s made some pretty lame choices, but that goes way beyond it.  She was mistreated and no one cared to understand what was really going on. I am so glad that she got the opportunity to share her side.
