This is a very happy post for me.  I love, love, love Michael Douglas and ever since he was diagnosed with throat cancer, my heart has been hurting for him and the family.  So seeing him with his gorgeous wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones and their two kids on the Flight of the Hippogriff roller coaster at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort makes my heart happy.

It was a great family day and you can see the joy in all of their faces.  There is nothing better than that feeling.  They enjoyed some Butterbeer, got fitted for wands at Ollivanders and toured Hogwarts Castle as part of their visit.  Sounds like a blast to me!  I am just getting into Harry Potter…  yes,  I am a little behind, but I’d love to check out this park!

Instead, the kids played on the beach with their nannies, Brangelina no where to be found.  So I guess that Brad was full of it when he said,

“I’m not really sure where we’ll be for it, but yeah, it’ll be overseas.  We’ll whip up a turkey somewhere.”

I’m a family kind of girl and I love spending Thanksgiving with the family.  That’s the meaning.  Man these two get on my nerves sometimes.

I have always been an ice skating fan.  Since I was a little girl, something about it always thrilled me. Perhaps it’s the fact that I can’t go too far without falling on the ice that makes watching the pros all the more impressive?  So naturally, I have always followed the superstar on ice, Scott Hamilton who is now 52 and legendary.

Instead of battling it out on the ice, Hamilton has been going through a series of medical battles.  First it was testicular cancer.  Then in June, he had a benign brain tumor removed, but during that procedure, his artery was nicked and that ended up resulting in an aneurysm forming and he had to have that repaired as well.   But, he lost two-thirds of his vision in his right eye.

“This,” says Hamilton, tongue firmly planted in cheek, “was not the way to spend your summer vacation.  I tried to stay positive through all this.  But in back of my mind, I felt, ‘I’m getting knocked down and I’m not sure if I can get back up.’ “

What a trooper.  This man has a ton of heart and I respect him more now than ever. Keep up the good fight Scott!

New Orleans Saints‘ defensive lineman Will Smith has been arrested on charges of domestic abuse today.  The swell fella was abusing his wife when the Lafayette Police say, an officer witnessed a dispute between Smith and his wife at around 2:00 AM.

The officer then says the disturbance became physical and “the male suspect allegedly grabbing the female by the hair and began pulling her down the street.”

Will Smith was taken in and then posted his $1,000 bond. He will be appearing before the judge on Monday when everyone’s turkey has fully digested.

Justin Bieber made a lot of tweens (and their parents) really happy yesterday when he extended his meet and greet for his book First Step 2 Forever at Barnes and Noble in New York to accommodate the extra 1,000 fans that lined up in the rain to meet him. Say what you will about Justin, but he’s a sweet kid.

He was originally late to the signing due to traffic but promised to stay late and even extended the amount of people he would be willing to see from 1,000 to 2,000.

He tweeted:

“Sorry we are late… My fans are the most loyal passionate people ever. Super grateful. thank u… We got a lot more people to see… I’m not leaving until I keep my promise. Thanks for everyone being so cool about (this).”

When it was all said and done:

“Finished the signing in the NYC. Had to show love. We let 1,000 more people in. Love y’all. wish I could let the whole world in.”

Every generation has their teen heartthrob and the Biebs is it. To be gracious and nice on top of that is awesome. More celebrities should be like that. His hand must have been killing him!
