Well this is one bit of happy news aside from all of the recent celebrity break ups! Shania Twain and her boyfriend Frederic Thiebaud are engaged. Her rep has confirmed the news exclusively with US Weekly. A friend tells the publication:

I’ve never seen Shania so happy,”"She has ended up with the love of her life.”

Shania and Frederic got together in a very different way because their ex-spouses were allegedly having an affair together when Shania’s ex-husband Mutt Lange abruptly left her for Marie-Anne Thiebaud and Shania and Freddy-baby leaned on each other for support during that difficult time and fell in love.

Holly Madison wrapped up her Holly Jolly Toy Drive over at El Segundo Sol restaurant at the Fashion Show Mall in Las Vegas yesterday.  It sounds like it was another successful year and lots of kids that would have gone without, are going to be receiving gifts under their tree this year.  Thank you Holly for such a great cause.

Not a whole lot to say here.  Paris Hilton can always be relied upon to give a bit of “sizzle” on her Christmas cards and this year was no exception.  She’s a happy girl this year with a lot to smile about despite the troubles she’s faced in 2010, she’s got a positive outlook.  Between her man, Cy Waits and her newly launched motorcycle team, she’s all good.  Oh, and the buckets of money she keeps in one of her 50 closets.

Vanessa Hudgens celebrated her 22nd Birthday at Pure Nightclub at Caesars Palace Resort and Casino down in Vegas this weekend.  Having very recently split form her long time boyfriend, Zac Efron, I would have expected a little less joy in her eyes. But from the looks of things, Vanessa is more than happy to be a single girl again.

Alison Sweeney launched her upcoming book, ’The Mommy Diet‘ at The Grove yesterday and she looked fantastic!  This sure to be a hit book isn’t going to be released officially until December 28th, but she’s begun the promo tour just in time for Christmas. Alison knows what she’s talking about when it comes to weight loss and all things related to dieting thanks in part ot being a mom of two and also her time as host on The Biggest Loser.

This week, Paramore went from a fivesome to a threesome.  The remaining members of the band announced the change via their blog.  Josh and Zac Farro have left the group.  Hayley Williams, Jeremy Davis and Taylor York said,

“A couple of months ago, Josh and Zac let us know they would be leaving the band after our show in Orlando last Sunday,” they wrote. “None of us were really shocked. For the last year it hasn’t seemed as if they wanted to be around anymore.  We want Josh and Zac to do something that makes them happy and if that isn’t here with us, then we support them finding happiness elsewhere. But we never for a second thought about leaving any of this behind.”

Have no fear though Paramore fans, they aren’t going anywhere.  Sure things are changing, but that’s part of life.  For now,  ”be encouraged” by their fortitude as they “take on another chapter of our journey together.”  Paramore lives on to bring you the kind of musical genius that only they can do.  Rock on.
