THANK. GAWD. Especially considering news recently that indicated Jessica Simpson’s fashion line is approaching a billion dollar venture, it is refreshing to know she isn’t so over-the-moon in love with Eric Johnson that she would forgo a prenup. A girl’s got to protect her assets, am I right?

A ‘source’ told US Weekly exclusively:

There will definitely be a prenup” for the pair.  “Jessica has said she wants one. Jessica and Eric have talked about it,” [Eric] understands that there needs to be a prenup,” the insider explains. “He’s supportive of it.”  ”He really loves her,” the source continues. “He’s a low key guy. He’s not into the glitz and materialism of Hollywood at all.”

On November 11, Johnson proposed to his girlfriend of six months, Jessica with a $150,000 engagement ring. CA-CHING.

Jessica gives off the impression that she’s ditsy when it comes to men and love and that she sees things through rose-coloured glasses, but if this is true (and I hope to hell it is) she proves just why she’s a very successful business woman!

Nicole Richie isn’t one to announce the meaningful moments in her life.  So don’t expect a press release on this one.  Till after the fact.)  Nicole’s daddy, Lionel Richie has been busy the past couple of days with a lot of big moving trucks unloading at his estate.  Hello…. if you haven’t clued in yet, the wedding is happening this weekend!

Joel Madden and Nicole have two beautiful children together and the wedding has been in the “works” for what seems like ages.  I love that they aren’t sharing this big day with the public.  I don’t think they should.  I want them to wait till their day is over.  Till the honeymoon is over.  Then they HAVE to share some photos with us because you know that Nicole is going to make a gorgeous bride and the kids will be in the ceremony as well.  So exciting!

My love of The Beatles doesn’t really have words to describe it.  But it’s huge.  When Rock Band came out with the “game”, I almost died of happiness.  No joke.  John Lennon though, I just don’t know that words could ever do him justice.  No, they obviously can’t.  But man, he is still such an amazing force.  Thirty years ago today, the world was robbed.

The iconic rocker, an icon of the music world and the most famous and outspoken campaigner for world peace, was shot dead by Mark Chapman as he returned to his home at The Dakota building with wife Yoko Ono following a recording session.  The senseless killing sent shockwaves around the world as one of the most influential men of the 20th Century was brutally murdered at the age of 40.

The world will never recover from his death.  But John Lennon will never really leave us.  One of the greatest songs of all time, Imagine will live on, in every corner of this earth for as long as IT exists.

Wesley Snipes believes in miracles and so do I.  BUT, he just needs to face something called, reality.  He broke the law by trying to rip off the American government by not filing his federal income taxes.  The boy could afford it.  He just wanted to behave like a total douche, like he’s above the law.  Lesson learned?  He’s NOT.

Tomorrow Snipes has to turn  himself in to federal prison but last night, typically livin’ on a prayer, he told Larry King,

“We still believe in miracles. Don’t sell me up the river just yet.”

Snipes can keep believing in miracles and meanwhile, he will begun his three-year prison sentence in Pennsylvania.

How do you feel about tax evasion?  Is Snipes getting too harsh of a punishment or did the judge get it right?
