I don’t like to get involved in these cat fights, especially when the smell of politics is in the air.  It’s just not my thing.  What I do enjoy is some good comedy.  Truly funny jokes. Those get me going.  Kathy Griffin is known to have some pretty good lines and a quirky side to her humor.  I usually enjoy her stuff.  This would not be one of those times.

Bristol Palin Responds To Keith Olbermann

I would like to set aside the fact that Bristol Palin has been in the middle of a huge controversy since the day she set foot on the Dancing With The Stars floor.  I want to look at the facts.  Bristol is a public figure, like it or not.  She’s got young girls looking at her in a good or bad light, depending on what their parents are slamming into their impressionable minds.  There is a harsh world out there, filled with bullying that has led to so many suicides and heartbreak.  The last thing this world needs is Kathy Griffin on a stage that’s supposed to be about our troops and their sacrifices, making horrid remarks about ANY young girl’s body.

Kathy Griffin used the stage at the VH1′s Divas Salute the Troops show to rip apart Bristol.

The 50-year-old mocked her saying she  ”is the only contestant in the history of the show to actually gain weight.  Come on, come on. She gained like 30 pounds a week.  I swear to God, it was fantastic. She’s like the white Precious.”

Wow.  Those are powerful words.  Hate filled ones at that.  Perhaps if she needed good material, she should have taken a look in the mirror at her flappy backside.  Seriously. Gross.

Kathy Griffin sent out a message to the young girls of our world that being skinny is the only way.  That you’re fat if you are not a size 2 body type.  Good job there Kathy.

Bristol responded with,

“The audience’s reaction to this ‘comedian’ spoke volumes, and the decent people I know would probably have booed her, too,” Palin, 20, told Fox News. “I hope people didn’t have to pay money to hear her negativity and criticisms.”

Kathy, you can be an ass all you like, but leave the youth of our fragile world out of it.  Pick on someone “your own size.”

It’s only been a year since they tied the knot and they are already done.  Jim Carrey’s gorgeous daughter, Jane Carrey is divorcing her husband, Blood Money singer Alex Santana.  Okay, I’ll get it over with right now.  Look at him!  He’s atrocious!  I can’t believe she thought he was hot enough to marry in the first place!  Jane can do much better than that and I guess it just took her a little bit to figure it out!

So Jim and Jenny McCarthy split, now Jane and Alex.  Hmmmm, I guess that Jim and Jane can have some extra bonding time for now.  Seeing so many breakups these days has to make you thankful for the long lasting, real relationships that we are fortunate enough to witness or actually be in.

I hope that Jim and Jane both find true love and happiness one day in the near future.

Estranged wife of the slime ball politician, John Edwards, Elizabeth Edwards is dying. This very courageous, strong woman has been fighting cancer since 2004.  But sadly Elizabeth is losing the battle,

“Elizabeth has been advised by her doctors that further treatment of her cancer would be unproductive,” said a statement released by Edwards’ family. “She is resting at home with family and friends.”

She’s given her supporters and fans her final words on her Facebook page, in preparation for the end,

“You all know that I have been sustained throughout my life by three saving graces… my family, my friends, and a faith in the power of resilience and hope. These graces have carried me through difficult times and they have brought more joy to the good times than I ever could have imagined.  The days of our lives, for all of us, are numbered. We know that. And, yes, there are certainly times when we aren’t able to muster as much strength and patience as we would like. It’s called being human,” wrote Elizabeth. “But I have found that in the simple act of living with hope, and in the daily effort to have a positive impact in the world, the days I do have are made all the more meaningful and precious. And for that I am grateful.”

Elizabeth is the mother of four, one of her children died at the age of 16 in a fatal car accident.  It breaks my heart to hear this devastating news.  Our thoughts and prayers are with Elizabeth and her family during her final days.

Kelsey Grammer is a douche.  Plain and simple.  Douche master here.  It’s only been a few months since Kelsey filed for divorce from his wife, Camille Grammer after having an affair with his now fiancee, Kayte Walsh.

“They have been engaged for a while,” Grammer’s rep said.

This is going to be Kelsey’s fourth marriage.  WHY?!  Why get married?  You know you won’t be faithful, you know it’s going to end in yet another divorce.  Why not just date for a bit and then be free and clear without all the legal fees when you find a new flavor of the week to bang?

Kayte suffered a miscarriage already…. that is really sad.  But maybe it was a sign of failure for this doomed relationship?  I am a strong believer in ‘signs’ and I don’t think they should bother with the nuptials.

Sorry, can’t give a congrats this time.  If they make it down the aisle and last at least a year, then you can call me a jerk.  Until then, save it.

Lindsay Lohan really gets to drive again.  After receiving her drivers license, she quickly lost the ability to drive because of the stalker paparazzi and the protective Betty Ford clinic.

Well, Lilo’s parents Michael Lohan and Dina Lohan both made calls to Betty Ford and they have decided that Lindsay can have a shot at the open road again.  But, it’s not an open ended ticket.  She has to get permission each time she wants to leave the facility.

So it’s really good news for Lindsay.  I know that she’s not just being forced to be there, she wants to get better and she knows that Betty Ford is the answer.   BUT, that being said, it’s gotta be tough dealing with that sort of living situation for that long.  Really no privacy and obviously no freedom.  I’d go crazy.

But kudos to Lindsay for sticking to it and a big congrats on getting her wheels back.

I wonder if any of the press asked Angie what she thought of Chelsea Handler’s stand-up show over the weekend where she had a few choice names for Angelina. Somehow I think they would all be too afraid. Chelsea tweeted about the video that has hit the internet today:
