Oh Holy Hell.  For real?  Yep.  Katie Couric is ditching the CBS Evening News for a bit to guest star on Glee.  She will of course play herself…. can you imagine her trying to pull off anyone or anything else?  Ha!

McKinley High is going to get a dose of Katie at her best.  At least that’s what we can hope for.  I will admit that I haven’t been a huge fan of Katie’s since she left NBC.  I feel like she fell off after that, and perhaps Glee can somehow give her new “life.”

Doug and Ultimate Fighting Champion Marco Ruas have been training two times a day, six days a week, which I believe proves just how much Doug’s heart is into this event.

“I will fight however possible to end the global issue of human trafficking,” Doug tells Life & Style. “It’s a fight worth winning.”

Nicole Kidman had her sexy man, Keith Urban by her side at the New York premiere of ‘Rabbit Hole’ held at the Paris Theatre last night.  She looked simply gorgeous.  Keith was hot, like he never fails to be.  BUT, I can’t help it.  He looks so much better solo.   Nicole is tall, then she throws on big ‘ole heels and dwarfs that sexy man!

Women with “shorter” hubbys are supposed to wear a smaller heel, at least when you know the cameras are going to be around, otherwise, the men look like….um, dwarfs?  I really love these two together, but Nicole needs to lose an inch or two.

Back to the movie… Rabbit Hole sounds like a very intense movie that I am going to have to see.  Aaron Eckhart co-stars with Nicole.  Here’s the quick synopsis:

Becca and Howie Corbett (Nicole Kidman and Aaron Eckhart) are returning to their everyday existence in the wake of a shocking, sudden loss. Just eight months ago, they were a happy suburban family with everything they wanted. Now, they are caught in a maze of memory, longing, guilt, recrimination, sarcasm and tightly controlled rage from which they cannot escape. While Becca finds pain in the familiar, Howie finds comfort.

The shifts come in abrupt, unforeseen moments. Becca hesitantly opens up to her opinionated, loving mother (Dianne Wiest) and secretly reaches out to the teenager involved in the accident that changed everything (Miles Teller); while Howie lashes out and imagines solace with another woman (Sandra Oh). Yet, as off track as they are, the couple keeps trying to find their way back to a life that still holds the potential for beauty, laughter and happiness. The resulting journey is an intimate glimpse into two people learning to re-engage with each other and a world that has been tilted off its axis.

I’ve been a fan of Nicole Kidman since 1983, when she starred in Five Mile Creek in her native Australia.  Needless to say, she’s come a long way.  Can’t wait to see this new flick!

Last night, Fergie was honored at Billboard’s 5th Annual Women In Music awards at The Pierre Hotel in New York City with Billboard’s Woman of the Year Award.

She was obviously very proud of this great milestone in her career,

“I am humbled and excited to accept the Billboard Woman of the Year Award,” Fergie says. “Being honored by Billboard is a great career achievement.”

I have great respect for Fergie as an artist and a woman.  She’s beyond fabulous on the music front.  But her girl power is ridiculous, in a very good way.

What’s not so hot or amazing are her scary claws.  Those are the worst kind of faux nails and well, I despise them.  Other than that, Fergie is the woman!

First of all, I’d like to point out that I am well aware of the fact that Paris Hilton isn’t the only celebrity to do this.  But, after looking at these photos, I’d really like to ask Paris why she shops with her sunglasses on.  Perhaps it would be an answer that would explain it for all of the celebs who do so.

These days it’s pretty futile to wear a baseball hat and sunglasses, trying to disguise yourself while out in public.  The paparazzi live to  stalk you and those big glasses won’t stop them.

But if you’re having a bad hair day or didn’t feel like putting on your makeup, I get the glasses cover up.  But when you are Paris Hilton out with your boy toy, Cy Waits, doing some Christmas shopping and you’re wearing sunglasses inside, I don’t get it.

Wouldn’t it be easier to examine your possible purchase with a clear, bright vision?  We all know who you are and you are well aware of the photogs snapping you picture, what’s with the glasses!?

Greetings all,

It has been brought to my attention that people who do not know me think that I have had an affair with Tony Parker. I have received hundreds of emails and phone calls from supportive friends who do know me and know that what is being insinuated about me is a complete lie. I am so busy with my children and law school studies that to take even a few moments out of my day to address this ludicrous issue is an annoyance. I only take the time to explain myself because apparently my silence, as a result of my indifference, has been construed as an admission of guilt. These are my words and this is the last you will hear from me on this subject because I have more important things to do.

I DID NOT HAVE AN AFFAIR WITH TONY PARKER, nor did I “pursue” Tony Parker. Unfortunately, because our divorces are occurring at the same time, great speculation has been cast on our friendship. My friendship with Tony Parker had nothing to do with the end of my marriage (which is painful enough without this added drama), and to assume that we had an affair is naïve, ridiculous, and completely misguided.

Every day I dedicate myself to being a good person and the best Mom that I can possibly be for my two beautiful children. I pride myself on being a Mom first, an advocate for abused children second, and a law student third. Those are the things that are of the utmost importance to me. I have spent my adult life fighting for children who have been victimized so forgive me for not caring when someone tells me that my name is being dragged through the mud.

Salacious rumors are not what keeps me awake at night. What keeps me awake is wondering how the 5-year-old who was taken away from her abusive family is sleeping during her first night in a children’s shelter. I worry about friends fighting overseas and whether or not they will return home to their families. I worry about the health of my children, my family, and my friends. I worry about soccer uniforms, carpool, immunizations, baseball practice, paying the bills on time, grocery shopping, the kid’s homework, and so many other things that may seem menial to some people; but to me are everything. Right now I worry about my law school finals… being a first year law student is much scarier than dealing with gossip!

Happy Thanksgiving. My family and I want thank our troops and their families for their sacrifices that enable us to enjoy our freedoms this holiday season.

While I’m pretty impressed with all that she is accomplishing in her life, I can honestly say I’m pretty bored with the whole Eva Longoria and Tony Parker divorce scandal. I think this will be my last post on it, although for any updates I may link to it during my linking posts, but that’s it.
