Who knew the royals were so modern and impersonal?  Sending out save-the-date cards is a very proper thing to do.  But doing it via FAX machine?  I can only imagine the horror of the Queen.

Snoop Dogg and Prince William Are BFFs (No Joke)

The senior members of royal, European families received save-the-date notices from Buckingham Palace via fax regarding the April 29 wedding from Prince William and Kate Middleton.

“I cannot give you any further details other than that but they have received a sort of save the date fax,” a spokeswoman for King Constantine, 70, and Queen Anne-Marie, 64, of Greece confirms to PEOPLE.

OMG.  That is hilarious.  It’s so off the wall to me.
