Former DWTS‘ contestant Aaron Carter, 23,  has entered rehab E! Online is reporting.  His manager Johnny Wright told E! exclusively:

“Several months ago Aaron came to me to help him return to music and to restart his career. He has been in Orlando working on a new album and perfecting his live show and his physical body. Aaron, understanding the challenges and hard work it would take to get himself back to the top, requested to take some time before we started to heal some emotional and spiritual issues he was dealing with. Therefore he has chosen to enter a facility where he feels he will get the guidance and cleansing he needs that will help him on the music journey he’s about to take. He asks that everyone keep him in their prayers and that they respect his privacy at this time.”

Unlike Lindsay Lohan he has been able to tweet during his stint in rehab:

“I had a great day with my brother @NickCarter he always comes to bat for me when others believe someone else over me!” and “Life Has Its up’s & Downs, You Can Only Live & Learn. Never Lose Faith!! & Always Believe In Yourself! As I Am learning To Do Every day.”

His brother Nick is from the boy band Backstreet Boys. We wish Aaron all the best in his recovery.

Just what this world needs. Something promoting teens having sex, partying, and doing drugs. Sure, they are doing these things anyhow, but do we need to glorify it on MTV and make it look fashionable? Let’s not give the kids an excuse for their irresponsible behavior.

I must not be alone in my thoughts because MTV’s sponsors of the new, morbid show, Skins are dropping like flies.  So far, Wrigley, Taco Bell, GM, and now H&R Block have pulled their ad campaigns.

Come on!  If Taco Bell is pulling out, perhaps you should pull the plug.

H&R Blcok is doing a super backpedal saying,

“H&R Block is not an advertiser of the show. One ad ran by mistake as part of a rotation. Once we learned this, we immediately took steps to ensure it didn’t happen again. This program is not brand right and H&R Block did not select it to be part of our rotation.”
