Jason Mraz and his fiancee, Tristan Prettyman are making a huge statement.  They are putting their wedding on hold until gay marriage is legalized.

Jason Mraz is Getting Married!

Mraz was at Elton John’s Concert to Benefit the American Foundation for Equal Rights in Beverly Hills Wednesday when he made the statement,

“We both feel that in our engagement, we have a union that’s really special and cant be broken. It’s a sacred bond.  The wedding would be nice for our family, our friends, our community — our moms especially — and so it puts us in the fight.  We can’t get married until [gay] marriage is legal and equal…I think giving people the right to marry will be a huge movement in civil rights.”

I wonder how, Tristan really feels about this.  I’d be upset.  I understand the cause.  But I also wouldn’t be willing to put my marriage on hold.  I think there’s a lot that can be done for the cause even after the wedding.  What if it takes 10 years?  Will she want to wait forever?

So Kelsey Grammer is planning his flavor of the month wedding to Kayte Walsh for next month, right?  Well, his daughter, Spencer Grammer (27) decided to steal some of his thunder by getting engaged as well!

A rep for Spencer Grammer has confirmed the news to Life & Style.

“Spencer is so excited to marry her boyfriend, James Hesketh,” an insider tells Life & Style. “Rather than a traditional engagement ring, James gave her a claddagh ring (a traditional Irish ring that can be worn as a wedding ring). It’s very simple, but very beautiful.  Camille and Spencer [Kelsey's daughter from his first marriage] had no relationship.  And Spencer and her father are closer than ever since he split with Camille.”

So how about a double wedding?  Kelsey could save a few dollars and the classiness would be out of this world.  Oh gag me.  I can’t stand him.

Spencer, please don’t have a double wedding!  Oh… and congrats ton the engagement.

Michael Lohan has come out and admitted that it was he who negotiated the deal and agreed to pay Betty Ford worker, Dawn Holland $25,000 in exchange for not pursuing charges against Lindsay Lohan.

Michael sent an email exclusively to Radar Online which reads:

“I am coming forward without regret, to tell the truth about the Dan Holland situation with my daughter. Lindsay.

“From the night of this occurrence, I have been aware of the entire situation.

Dawn DID assault Lindsay while demanding a urine (test) and took it to another level when Lindsay demanded the phone.

“Since then, Dawn has had her attorney meet with me, negotiate with me and even propose a “deal” with me, her lawyer and Lindsay’s lawyer, Shawn Holly (Chapman) and while I agreed to Dawn Holland’s initial “number”,  to procure financial stability due to getting fired, she got greedy and took it to another level.

“Dawn DEMANDED that Lindsay agree to a sit down interview to make ‘amends’ for the sake of the public NOT because Dawn wanted to set the record straight, but because she negotiated a deal to make more money from the interview.

“When Lindsay said that amends don’t need to be a public thing, and she would  NOT do it publicly, Dawn fired her lawyer and hired another one out of vengeance.

“With Dawn Holland’s record for abuse, her assault charges, her credibility and desire for money, I believe that he courts and public will see, that this is a woman, who motives and intentions (sic), to set Lindsay up, so she could have financial gain.

“If she really was or is in “recovery”, she would seek it in an emotional way, rather than financial.

“If this was any other person, in the same situation, Dawn, nor the authorities would ever pursue it in this fashion.”

Radar Online contacted Lindsay’s lawyer Shawn Chapman who covered her ass stated:

“I have never entered into any agreement with Ms. Holland or with any representative of Ms. Holland– on Ms. Lohan’s behalf or otherwise– for money to be paid to Ms. Holland, either directly or indirectly.”

I can’t believe I’m saying this (and it will probably be the one and only time I do so, trust me) but Michael Lohan is correct in that if this were anyone other than Lindsay, this whole circus would not have happened.

Not being a lawyer or anything I’m wondering if there will be any repercussions to Michael admitting he paid someone not to press charges. Lindsay’s lawyer was very quick to remove herself from anything to do with it so that leads me to believe it may not have been Michael’s brightest move.

Nicki Minaj is in London, England where she’s on a promotional tour. She made an announcement about a surprise appearance at two London clubs on Thursday (January 20), one of which was Runway where all hell broke out.

The anticipation of Nicki Minaj’s appearance was, I guess, too much for some people to handle. Mix the hysteria with booze and you have a brawl. She took to her Twitter page:

“Had a blast @ Oceana! Security issues r now preventing us from entering Runway…”

At one point Nicki insisted her driver pull over so that she could meet fans who had waited in the cold to hopefully catch a glimpse of her. I’m not sure if this is at the hotel, club, recording studio or where.

She was staying at the Dorchester but because of the chaos of all the fans, she was liberated from there as she tells us on Twitter:

long day of press only to find out we’ve officially been kicked out the hotel! Lmaoooooooo. Rescue me barbz!!!! Pleeeeeeeasse *martha voice*

I LOVE her white dress in these photos! The wig? Well it’s not for everyday use but it is Nicki and I don’t think anyone else could possibly pull it off the way she does and still look glamorous!
