Is this the first ever picture of lovebirds Ryan Seacrest and Julianne Hough posing together? At least on the red carpet it must be. Could he have a bigger smile? He’s a lucky man. Julianne admitted on the red carpet that although they are not engaged she is very much in love and very happy.

The party was only just beginning after The Golden Globes ended with after-parties held by HBO and Harvey Weinstein. Lots of celebrities that you didn’t see on the red carpet attended such as Minnie Driver, Ryan Phillipe, Paris Hilton (of course), Ryan Kwanten, Chris Hemsworth, Anne Heche and James Tupper.

Hayden Panettiere tried to hide her golden globes with some obvious pasties in her see-through dress.

Paul Giamatti’s acceptance speech was one of my favourite’s last night as Halle Berry presented him with Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical for his role in the Canadian film Barney’s Version:

“Jesus Christ, Halle Berry,” ”I got to smoke and drink in this movie and got paid for it,” said Giamatti, who also praised Montreal, where the film was shot, as an “incredible beautiful city that I dream about,” and acknowledged “the great nation of Canada.”

Natalie Portman explained to us all that her fiance Benjamin Millepied, who was also in Black Swan actually really did totally want to sleep with her unlike his character in the movie. That explains the baby bump. I loved when she thanked Mila Kunis: “Thank you, Mila ‘Sweet Lips’ Kunis.

Last night’s Golden Globes were good.  They just weren’t quite what I had expected. Ricky Gervais is hilarious.  His jokes are usually a hit.  This isn’t his first hosting gig for crying out loud.  So what the hell went wrong?

I think the easy answer is that Ricky picked on all the wrong stars.  He chose the ones without a sense of humor anywhere near his.  The opening monologue left him completely cold.  Aside from the boo-ish groans, it was like crickets in the laugh department.  Sure, there were some sympathy laughs, but that’s about it.

I felt bad for him.  Picking on Mel Gibson would have been a hoot.  Bashing Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie… not so much.

Did you see who Jake Gyllenhaal had on his arm for the Golden Globes last night?  That was Jenny Lewis.  His EX girlfriend from back in 2001.  Yeah, you know that made Taylor Swift feel like a million bucks.

Kaley Cuoco Announces Her Engagement To (Guess Who?)

Wouldn’t Jake have been better off just flying solo?  I mean, does he have to have a date?  Did he have to make Taylor feel worse than he already did dumping her over the phone?

Don’t get me wrong.  I think that Jake is one of the finest pieces of man candy…..but, you still need to maintain your class even if you are completely edible.

Kaley Cuoco was sporting a gorgeous, gigantic diamond ring on her ring finger last night at the Golden Globes. Ryan Seacrest naturally asked her if she had something to share.  Her response,

“I’m engaged,” Cuoco, 25, said, pausing as the E! host happily congratulated her. Then, she clarified: “I’d like you to know who I’m engaged to – Chopard, the jewelry designer.  It’s the only finger it fit,” she said. “And I said, ‘I have to wear it!’ And [the jewelry designer] said, ‘But you can’t wear it on that finger.’ And I said, ‘Oh, I’m wearing it!’ “

Kaley’s boyfriend, Christopher French wasn’t too keen on the idea of her wearing it, bit she didn’t care.  Diamonds are diamonds dude.

“He’s like, ‘Do you have to wear the ring?’ ” she said. “I’m like, ‘Yeah, I do!’ “

I would do the same and she looked stunning in that dress, the ring is great, but she can do no wrong.
