Besides the winners, the highlight of the night is usually the gowns, am I right? Maybe it was me, but the majority of dresses at last night’s 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards seemed to disappoint.

There were a few that stood out as gorgeous: Julianne Hough, Julia Styles, Kaley Cuoco, Olivia Wilde (the Belle of the Ball), Eva Longoria, and Amy Adams.

But some of the dresses were just average at best. Hands-down the worst had to be Helena Bonham Carter. It’s like all the couture designers of the world gathered in one place, got hammered out of their tree and challenged each other to put together the mother of all ugly dresses.

I’m all for different but wearing two different colour shoes I don’t get. And since when is putting a comb through your hair a crime? Don’t get me wrong, she’s a very talented actress and I’m sure sweet as pie, but invest in a full-length mirror. Or eyesight. Doesn’t anybody love her enough to prevent her from leaving the house dressed like that?

Last night a few women wore emerald green. Love the colour, but not in gowns. Angelina Jolie’s dress looked like a mother of the bride number. She kind of gets a pass because she’s looking after a hundred or so kids, or at least coordinating all the nannies to look after them all.

What statement is Scarlett Johansson trying to make with the hair? If that hairstyle becomes a trend I may just have to go bald in protest. Or never leave the house. Like I do now?

Robert Pattinson looked depressed. Perhaps he missed Kristen Stewart rejecting him on live TV?

Rep. Gabrielle Giffords is doing remarkably well after being shot in the head by Jared Lee Loughner in Tucson at a Safeway. Obviously when you hear of anyone being shot in the head, you assume they are dead.  Well, everyone knows that for Giffords, this has been nothing short of a miracle.

Her condition has officially been upgraded from critical to serious condition.  I know, that doesn’t sound great, but it really is! Even her breathing tube was removed on Saturday and she’s got movement on both sides of her body at this point.

Her husband, Captain Mark Kelly, will be doing his first TV interview later this week with Diane Sawyer on ABC.  I am looking forward to hearing him speak out about this entire ordeal.  His input will mean a lot to the entire county.

Last night the 68th Annual Golden Globes were handed out to a flock of TV and movie stars.  There were a lot of surprises (in my opinion.) Social Network cleaned up!  I just watched it a few night ago and thought it was a really great movie.  Very interesting. But I certainly wasn’t thinking award winning.

I was certain that Black Swan or The Fighter would take home the top honor of best picture for the night.  Yep, I was very wrong.

Glee made out for the TV portion.  I knew they would.  At least I was right about something!

Is our precious Ricky Gervais being censored?  It would certainly seem so.  If the truth be told on Conan, then yeah.  Ricky is having to hold his tongue on a nice opening rip on Mel Gibson he had planned for the Golden Globe Awards tonight!

This freaky film lands in your theater on March 11.  I wouldn’t miss it!  I am so on the Bridget boat since watching Blue Bloods. She’s fantastic!

So we already got to find out that Owen Wilson is a new daddy.  But that was about it.  We know that he had a boy and he entered the world in Hawaii.  But how about the stats, and a name?

Owen and his girlfriend, Jade Duell welcomed their first baby together at 10:47am in Hawaii on Friday after 18 hours of labor. Jade opted for a natural birth, at home, with no meds… yeah, I’ve never understood that one.  Anyhow, props to her for that!  She gave birth via water birth.  Owen has a gorgeous, waterfront home in Maui.  Yeah, that’s a good focal point.

Owen Wilson Welcomes A Boy!

They named the little guy Ford Linton Wilson and he weighed in at 6 pounds, 3 ounces.

“Owen and Jade are thrilled!” an insider tells Star. “Owen has been doing a celebratory hula dance all afternoon! It’s a beautiful boy and everyone is incredibly happy!”

Owen said,

“I was completely in awe, crying as I watched our baby being born.”

That is so sweet.  OMG.  I love him even more now.  Adorable.
