Arizona representative Gabrielle Giffords and Gwyneth Paltrow are second cousins according to Huffington Post. Gabrielle’s father, Spencer J. Giffords and Gwyneth’s late father Bruce Paltrow are first cousins.

Gwyneth released a statement on Sunday:

“Although I have never had the pleasure of meeting congresswoman Giffords, my thoughts and prayers are with her and her family as well as the other victims of this horrible act of senseless violence.”

On the weekend Arizona representative Gabrielle Giffords was shot point-blank range in the left side of her head at a supermarket where she held a rally.

The shooter of this horrible tragedy, 22 year old Jared Lee Loughner specifically targeted her and ended up killing 6 others and wounding 13 more. Included amongst the dead is 9-year old Christina Green who was born on September 11, 2011  She also happens to be a second cousin to actress Sophia Bush.

Gabrielle is in intensive care but is able to communicate through squeezing hands and holding up fingers and the prognosis is looking very good for her.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of all those killed and wounded in this terrible tragedy.

I know.  Say what?  It’s all in fun of course.  Joan Rivers and her daughter Melissa are doing a reality show about Joan moving in with Melissa.  Isn’t this exactly what you were hoping for?

I don’t really get it myself.  But in this day and age, anything goes.  And I mean anything.  Have you seen Jersey Shore?  That’s like the Jerry Springer show with a tan!  Well, actually that’s exactly what Joan doesn’t want,

“That’s reality that I don’t like,” Joan says. “So I think ‘Jersey Shore’ –Yuck!” But of course, she’d be welcome a PR opportunity if the right ‘Jersey Shore’ star came knocking during an episode of her new series.  ”We hope Snooki will come visit us,” cracked Joan. “Are you kidding? We’re whores!”

The series premiere of ‘Joan and Melissa: Joan Knows Best?’ will air Jan. 25 on WEtv.  Are you going to watch it?

Rachel McAdams was jaw droppingly gorgeous at the German premiere of “Morning Glory” at CineStar Potsdamer Platz movie theatre in Berlin yesterday.  She is a true beauty no matter what she does or wears.  It’s just that in these photos, she’s an exceptional knockout.

I saw Morning Glory at the movies around Thanksgiving and I loved it.  I was laughing through the entire thing.  Harrison Ford is epic, in a way you’re not used to.  And then Rachel is just Rachel.  Which is fabulous!

Last night if you watched the game or highlights, you saw Mizz Lohan sitting there with Pascal, taking in her first sporting event since she’s been out of rehab.  They were there to further discuss the new line she doing with him.

I guess her new roomie stayed home for the night.  Lilo has a new BFF that moved into her new Venice pad with her.  She’s a friend from Betty Ford, who’s been sober longer than Lilo.  She’s staying rent free and I believe will be a nice support system/security blanket for Lindsay.

Congrats on your new, fabulous life Lindsay.  Stay on the wagon!
