Guest Post: Heidi Montag Blew $2 Million On Failed Music Career

Allow me to introduce to you award winning gossip columnist Myrddin Gwynedd (or MG for short) from www.ohthescandal.com . Besides being award-winning, he’s charming, handsome and wickedly funny. He’s going to be coming over to INMF weekly for a slumber party, if you will. Clothing optional of course.
Take it away my dear Myrddin….
Reality starlet and queen of perpetual promotion Heidi Montag says she spent a whopping $2 million on her failed music career.
Her debut album, Superficial, was released in January 2010. It tanked, selling a flimsy 1,000 copies during the first week of release.
She told EW at the time, “I put every dollar I have into this. I’ve spent over $1 million, almost $2 million, on this album. It’s cost as much or more than a Britney Spears album because I wanted it to be that quality… The songs will make an impact in pop history.”
They had impact, all right. Just not in a cork-popping, ‘raise a glass to this tortured musical genius’ kind of way.
But while Montag may be down, she’s not out. The baton-carrier of cheap, synthetic, commercial fun says she is having another pop at assaulting the charts.
Move over Madonna, it’s time to pack away the disco and mothball that unitard – Heidi Montag’s coming to getcha!
The former Hills star tells RadarOnline she has enlisted the help of rapper Waka Flocka and his mother, manager Deb Antney, to cannonball her into the music stratosphere.
“I spent $2 million on my music career, and it didn’t happen for me, and now I have this opportunity,” Montag said.
Her second stab at singing comes courtesy of her hubby Spencer, who is reportedly getting behind the mic and doing a spot of rapping.
“Spencer is going into the studio with Waka Flocka Flame and Wooh Da Kid, and I requested that his mother Deb Antney meet with me and manage me, because she is just fabulous,” she said.
“I need her to guide me in the right direction and I know amazing things will happen because she really knows what she is doing.
“I’ve never been able to be the true Heidi, and now that I am not working on The Hills, I can really focus on this.”
You focus, girl. And not on the carton of orange juice that says concentrate. Bless.
“I want to make my own niche in the music world, that’s just Heidi. It could be a Pink meets Britney Spears.”
And when will Montag begin shooting from the lip?
“We are meeting in the studio on February 21st through February 24th, and I am so excited.”
Fantastic. Meantime, we always have her back catalogue to help quench our insatiable thirst for more, more, more!
Oh, the scandal!
Until next week my dear Ineedmyfixers…
