Ricky Gervais Invited To Host Golden Globes Again

Despite all the controversy that followed Ricky Gervais‘ hosting gig of this year’s Golden Globe Awards, he has been asked to come back a third time. The Daily Mail quotes the funnyman as saying:

‘The ratings went up again, and the organisers asked me to consider a third year. (But) I don’t think I should. I don’t know what I could do better. I certainly couldn’t get more press for them, that’s for sure.

The article goes on to quote him from his writings in this week’s Heat Magazine:

‘I did exactly what I went to do: improve on last year’s and have a laugh. The response was staggering. It was discussed on every news channel and chat show for weeks.

‘The weird thing is, the question is always, “Did Ricky go too far?” And the answer is always, “No.” I have yet to find anyone who was actually offended by it.’

His controversial jokes included a jab at closeted Scientology actors, Robert Downey Jr’s past drinking issues and Mel Gibson.

My only beef with the Golden Globes was there wasn’t enough Ricky Gervais.

Do you think he should host a third year?

CBS Orders More ‘Mike & Molly’ and ‘Rules of Engagement’ to Replace ‘Two and A Half Men’

While Charlie Sheen stays home and seeks treatment for his addiction issues his show Two and A Half Men has halted production for now which would make 8 out of the 24 episodes unlikely.

To fill the void, THR is reporting that CBS has ordered two more episodes each of Mike and Molly and Rules of Engagement. I don’t know if you have seen these shows, but they are funny. This is Mike and Molly’s first season and it is a great show. The writing for both shows this season is exceptional.

Charlie Sheen Will Rehab at Home. Of Course He Will

It is unknown whether cast and crew of Two and A Half men will receive partial compensation for being jobless during this time.

Charlie’s manager, Stan Rosenfield released this statement to THR:

“In compliance with the national health privacy laws (HIPPA), no further information relating to Charlie Sheen’s health or his rehab experience will be released without his written permission. I can say that all of us who know Charlie care about him very much. We will support him in any we can in this journey, beginning by respecting his privacy.

Russell Brand, Greta Gerwig and the Bat Mobile Film ‘Arthur’ in New York

Russell Brand and Greta Gerwig are pictured here in New York’s Grand Central Station filming some post-production scenes for Arthur and making me wish I were in New York.

They couldn’t possibly have shut down Grand Central to film this, so this leaves the realization that one could have caught a glimpse of Mr. Katy Perry. Sure security would have carted my ass away had I tried to touch him but you have to take chances in life, right?

Helen Mirren Framing Russell Brand’s Underwear

Russell Brand Is Cosmopolitan’s Fun, Fearless Male

Between Kiefer Sutherland and Russell Brand being in New York I’m wondering why I’m still in my basement.

Also in the film are Helen Mirren, Jennifer Garner and Nick Nolte. Seen in New York yesterday for the film: The Bat mobile. Now that is a sweet looking ride. If you look closely you will see Greta in the back seat. There are a lot of legs back there so it’s quite possible Russell Brand is dry-humping her or something. Lucky biotch.

Arthur opens in theatres April 8, 2011.
