Christina Aguilera’s boyfriend, Matthew Rutler either has an Angel looking out for him or he really is in control of his alcohol intake. It looks like he didn’t have enough alcohol in his system to be charged with the DUI stemming back to their arrest on March 1st.

Despite being very intoxicated, Christina Aguilera did not have charges leveled on the March 1st arrest.

The legal limit for alcohol levels while driving is .08 and according to Gossip Cop Matthew’s limit was .06. How lucky can a dude be? Whether the partying eases up or not, one thing is for certain: this couple is being responsible as is evidenced by recent photos of them partying it up and being driven home by a driver.

Olympian Michael Phelps was in Las Vegas today for the Encore Beach Club 2011 grand opening. It looks like Spring Break which you know, means booze, chicks and maybe some weed. Not that Michael Phelps is into any of those things.

He looks pretty happy though, doesn’t he? He also looks very fit. I wonder if he still consumes 12,000 calories a day? I would be happy as a pig in mud with 5,000 calories a day and look like that. Well, without the peen. I kind of like my girl parts.

Speaking of peen, I’m not sure why he’s grabbing his coming out of the pool, but perhaps a man out there can enlighten me as to why men do that? My hubby is asleep (I’m doing this post Sunday evening at around 11:30 p.m.) and I’m sure I would get that ‘you really are f*cking crazy’ look if I woke him up to ask him that.

Halle Berry was all set to make her Broadway debut in The Mountaintop in September alongside Samuel L. Jackson but has had to bail on her commitment because of ‘custody issues‘. As you know Halle and baby-daddy Gabriel Aubry have been going at it for months over legal custody (and parental rights) of their daughter Nahla.

She had to change roles in the film New Years’ Eve that was being filmed in New York due to custody issues and now she can’t make her commitment to the Broadway show for the same reason. The producers released the statement that she will: “not be appearing in the role due to child-custody issues.”

I do not know Halle Berry or her custody issues, but it seems odd to me that someone can’t work to battle said issues. Working mothers and fathers around the world have to keep their jobs while they fight custody battles every single day.

Again, I realize I do not know her or her situation but sometimes when someone is keen on pointing the finger at others, it’s usually because they are trying to get the focus off of themselves. And usually for good reason. Afterall isn’t that what smear campaigns are all about? Our Canadian government in the upcoming election is a prime example of that. I’m not saying this is the case because I truly don’t know, but it sure does make you wonder, doesn’t it?

The priority here of course is Nahla and her safety and well-being, but I just don’t know how Joe and Joan Average are able to hold down jobs while embroiled in custody battles?

I’m sure this isn’t the end of this drama. What are your thoughts? Anybody out there who has been in child-custody battles that had to drop out of work? Know anyone who has? Or do you think this is a bit much? Or is this code for between the custody battle and hitting it with Olivier Martinez a girl has to set her priorities?

Animated movie Rio has set a very impressive record for a 2011 opening weekend with a $40 million box office tally. Not so shabby if you consider the movie itself cost $90 million to make! They almost recouped their entire film budget in one weekend!

Rio is a a Brazil-set adventure about the world’s last two blue macaws which are voiced by Social Network’s Jesse Eisenberg and Anne Hathaway. I hope and pray these two got points on this film.

The production company responsible for the hit is also responsible for such box-office gold as Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears a Who and the Ice Age.

Rio was up against cult-classic Scream 4 this weekend but managed to earn 58 percent of its coin from 3-D theaters and has received raved reviews.

According to Entertainment Weekly’s ‘Inside Movies’ this weekend’s box office receipts were as follows:

1. Rio — $40 mil
2. Scream 4 — $19.3 mil
3. Hop — $11.2 mil
4. Soul Surfer — $7.4 mil
5. Hanna — $7.3 mil

Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon hit the red carpet for tonight’s world premiere of Water For Elephants at the Ziegfeld Theatre in New York looking very dapper.

I still can’t believe that she describes their sex scenes as gross. I don’t care if he had bodily fluid coming from every orifice of his body, it would still be heaven.
