Director Sidney Lumet passed away in his home in Manhattan today. He was 86 and was suffering from lymphoma. He was 86.
He directed several classic films including “12 Angry Men,” “Serpico,” “Dog Day Afternoon,” “The Wiz,” “Network,” “The Verdict,” and “Before the Devil Knows Your Dead.” He was Oscar nominated five times.

Steven Tyler was at Urth Cafe eating lunch with friends in Los Angeles when the paparazzi decided to capture the moment and he wasn’t pleased… so, he gave them the bird. Ha! I love it. I love this man. He is too fabulous on American Idol! I think I’d be annoyed with having my pictures taken while I was stuffing my face too.

David Arquette was spotted out in Los Angeles last night on his way into Boa Steakhouse to have dinner with friends. He looked wonderful! Happy, healthy…. a big, sober smile on his face. I have to say that it so refreshing to see David like this.

The 2012 Olympic Games people over in London have Coldplay to perform the official Olympic song at the opening ceremony and why on earth would they say no? The Olympics have more viewers than anything else in the world. Talk about a massive venue!
One source spoke with the Daily Mirror,
“Chris is at the top of the list to front the official record. He’s a huge star and a British musical icon, with an international profile. We’re pulling out all the stops to get hold of him, ideally with the rest of Coldplay involved, too.”
Another added,
“Coldplay are the biggest stadium rockers in Britain today, and their style of anthemic music would be perfect for the Olympics. It needs to be something inspirational. The hope is that they would perform at the opening ceremony, as well as [produce] the track, which could help fund good causes.”
Muse and Joss Stone are also prospects for the game’s performers. They begin on July 27. Should be another amazing Olympics, can’t wait!
Michael J. Fox and his adorable daughter, Esme Fox lit up the Empire State Building in orange and white to raise awareness for The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research in New York City yesterday.
This is such a great foundation. Michael is such an inspiration of strength and courage. I love that man. I used to crush on him in the Back to the Future days, now I just have an overall admiration for what he does and for who he is.
Michael J. Fox is a great man and he deserves a cure…. just like every other person who suffers from this terrible disease.

Nicole Richie who is mother of two little one, Harlow (3) and Sparrow (1 1/2) decided she’d clear up these pregnancy rumors once and for all. Apparently people called her knocked up after seeing some photos of her with a bit of a bump.

“Contrary to recent speculation, I am not pregnant,” she says in a statement. “This irresponsible reporting continues to feed an atmosphere of self-doubt and insecurity. To publicly point out a change in anyone’s body is mean-spirited and cruel. People’s bodies change and change again. This is not newsworthy and is a waste of valuable media space that should be used for more important issues.”
So there! Whoever started that rumor should be slapped. Women’s bodies do change SO much after having kids. It’s rough. And Nicole is always at the gym, and she looks amazing. So all of you back off!
