Law & Order: SVU’ star Mariska Hargitay and her husband, Peter Hermann just adopted a baby girl!  Her name is Amaya Josephine and she is one week old and was born here in the United States.

Mariska spoke with People,

“I’m deliriously happy.  From the minute she was born, she was just surprisingly alert and so full of love.  We were considering both international and domestic adoption and we’re thrilled that this is the way our prayers were answered,” she added. “We talked a lot about mixed-race adoptions, and we are very excited that we are now a multi-racial family. We’re just so happy she’s here.”

Their 4-year-old son, August is pumped to be a big brother!

“He is over the moon. He calls her his baby because he says the whole thing was his idea. He always talks about how he’s going to protect her. He’s going to be a great big brother,” she said.

That is too precious for words.  I am so happy for them.  Adoption is such a beautiful thing.

How I wish I were at last night’s New York premiere of Arthur. I would have offered up any part of my body for Russell Brand to eat. And yes I”m well aware of how perverted that sounds. I seriously would love to dry hump Russell Brand. I wonder what my husband’s coworkers think when they read this stuff. They must really envy my husband *cough*.

Russell Brand took a liking to Jake Pauly at the premiere and tried to eat him. Kidding of course. The pictures are hysterical.

Russell Brand arrived first and he pulled up in the vintage Rolls Royce.  He spent a lot of time going down the entire line of fans signing autographs and posing for pictures with everyone.  He was very nice and even kissed a few women on the cheek!

He looked to be in a great mood as did Dame Helen Mirren, Greta Gerwig and Jennifer Garner. I love these pictures! Arthur hits theatres this Friday (April 8). Will you be seeing it?

Nicki Minaj brought her colourful unitard to the Bank Atlantic Centre in Sunrise, Florida for the ‘I Am Music II‘ tour. The colourful outfit was not outdone though by the Bride of Frankenstein hair.

Don’t get me wrong, I love me some Nicki Minaj. Seeing her in interviews she comes across as a great person. However I really think she needs to drop this feud or whatever it is with Lil Kim. She was pretty mean on her song Tragedy.  I don’t know what their past is all about, and why they continue on but holy crap the world is big enough to have you both in it. Egos and all.
