Taylor Swift’s gown at last night’s 2011 Academy of Country Music Awards was gorgeous. She looked like a princess, but a not-so-happy princess in the photos. She really isn’t smiling so much.

Julianne Hough also looked gorgeous but went for the va-va-voom sexy look with a backless coral-coloured dress.

The ladies of the red carpet at the 2011 Academy of Country Music Awards, for the most part, were gorgeous. The men? Well, some of them had very interesting outfits like Ira Dean, but some of them like Keith Urban managed to look very hot. But then again, Keith Urban always does look hot. He could show up on the red carpet in sweat pants with the elasticized bottoms and he would still probably look hot. Wife, Nicole Kidman was by his side and as per usual, these two looked very smitten and happy to be together. I love it!

In one of the more humorous sketches on Saturday Night Live last night, Elton John and Tom Hanks had me in stitches.  Actually, it was mostly Tom who was playing Michael Caine who had me rolling.

I will admit, I don’t think that Elton was the best host I’ve seen on SNL, Tom Hanks was much more of a pleasant surprise.  If it weren’t for his appearances, last night would have been a wasted episode.

With the rather sordid news about Dr. Phil backstabbing Oprah, he was due for something positive and his son, Jay McGraw gave him just what he needed to hear.

Jay and his wife Erica are expecting their second child. Their daughter Avery Elizabeth (1) is going to be a big sister!

“Robin and I are thrilled Jay and Erica are expecting again,” Dr Phil tells PEOPLE, “and the due date is my birthday – Sep. 1. Avery has been getting us into tiptop babysitting shape.”

So there is going to be another McGraw in the family.  Very cute.   Congrats to the happy, growing family!

If Lindsay Lohan can keep herself out of prison, she’s got a movie role waiting for her if she wants it.  Brad Wyman who produced Charlize Theron‘s ‘Monster‘ is now doing a Charles Manson film, ‘Eyes of a Dreamer‘ and he wants Lilo on board.

The director is going to be photographer, Tyler Shields who will also be playing the lead role as Charles Manson himself.  Lindsay has been offered the part of Sharon Tate.  She was a murder victim and well, I think it would be a pretty creepy role to play since it’s a TRUE story.  Ewww!

This has the indie movie feel, I could definitely see Lindsay saying yes.  But she probably doesn’t want to commit to anything until she knows her own fate.

I had the hots for Michael Vartan so bad when he was on Alias.  I loved that show and he was at least half the reason why.  Jennifer Garner was of course fab too!

Well, Michael is officially off the market now.  He married his gorgeous girlfriend, Lauren Skaar whom he met in a Whole Foods parking lot.  I think that is so sweet and romantic!

The 24th Annual Genesis Awards

They tied the knot at The Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Beach, California yesterday (April 2.)

“My family was thrilled,” Vartan tells PEOPLE. “They love Lauren and could not be happier. Now all my mother talks about is grandchildren.”

Oh we would love to see these babies!  They are going to be knockouts at birth!

Lauren added,

“Our families both took an immediate liking to our partners and knew probably before we did that this was serious and going somewhere.”
