New images from Tomas Alfredson’s Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy have surfaced over the weekend. Pictured below are Colin Firth, whose character name has not been revealed, and Tom Hardy as “Tricky” Ricki Tarr.

Gary Oldman plays British Intelligence operative George Smiley, whose task is to uncover a Soviet agent who has infiltrated MI-6, the highest echelon in the British Intelligence Services. (This is a larger version of a previously released image.)

Colin Firth would look good wearing sack cloth and ashes so frankly, I don’t care who he plays, I’ll buy a ticket.

I believe I’ve made my feelings for Tom Hardy and that gorgeous mouth plain as well. But with a name like “Tricky” Ricki Tarr and what appears to be an alluring shade of red lipstick on those luscious lips, I do have to wonder what exactly is the nature of the rabbit hole that Smiley must go down to get his man. I suppose I should read the book.

Also in the high-powered cast: Benedict Cumberbatch, Ciaran Hinds, Mark Strong, Svetlana Khodchenko, Toby Jones, John Hurt, Stephen Graham and Kathy Burke. The film is slated to open the Venice Film Festival in early September and is set for a UK release on 16 September. No US date has yet been listed.

Anything else…*la la la I cannnn’t heeearr youuuu.*) walking the streets of New York City.  ‘So what?’ you say? Well, click on his name and all you get are promo shots from a movie or a movie premiere or a photo shoot.  This is the first time he’s been “papped” just for being out living his life.   I guarantee it will not be the last.

X-Men Take A Bite Out of the Big Apple

This film is going to be huge. If Fassbender thought his life would change by appearing in Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds, and I’m sure it did to some extent, since then he’s worked with directors like David Cronenberg and Steven Soderbergh and is currently working with Sir Ridley Scot, to name a few, but Inglourious Basterds was rated R and Tarantino is not everyone’s cuppa, and while he stole his scenes, Fassbender was only in three. This time around he’s truly one of the stars of a major summer tentpole film, rated PG-13 and directed by the man who gave us Stardust.  Mom, Dad and the kids will be seeing this one.

Yesterday, Sean Penn was seen leaving Malibu Ranch Market store at Zuma Beach Plaza and he looked like crap.  Yep.  Complete crap.  Why is he looking so down and out when he is boning one of Hollywood’s hottest tickets (Scarlett Johansson)?  Well, rumor has it, things are already going south for their relationship and not mind-in-the-gutter, man stick kind of way either.

Cheryl Cole Book Signing

OMG.  Could they get any more cruel?!  Cheryl Cole was originally on the X-Factor over in the UK.  Then Simon Cowell (HOT!!!) decided to have her be a judge on the U.S. version.  Then he changed his mind.  She got the boot.  But, it looked like they wanted her to return to the UK version.  As of yesterday though, that is not the case anymore either!

X-Factor Judge Cheryl Cole Replaced By Nicole Scherzinger

The judges for this season were announced and her name was left out!  The new list of UK judges is: music mogul Louis Walsh, Take That’s Gary Barlow, Kelly Rowland from Destiny’s Child and Tulisa Contostavlos of N-Dubz.  So what’s the deal?  Why was this once hot ticket a reject all of the sudden?  Someone needs to fess up and let us know why Cheryl is suddenly being treated like a plague!

Nick Lachey, Vanessa Minnillo The 137th Annual Kentucky Derby - Arrivals

Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo are getting ready to walk down the aisle and the best way to prep for the big day is by partying it up with friends and family in some pre-wedding get togethers, right?

On Sunday they had a nice little wedding shower, together at the London Hotel in West Hollywood.  Sources told People,

“Nick and Vanessa greeted guests hand-in-hand. Vanessa looked gorgeous in a white dress with a black sash. She and Nick both seemed very excited to celebrate with their families and friends.”

Chef Gordon Ramsay’s hotel kitchen prepared the meal which you know was amazing… yeah, I am a tad jealous… I love good food, and I love to eat.  So, yeah, where’s my invite?!

“Everyone seemed to have a great time. It was a laidback, yet sophisticated atmosphere. Guests danced until the late hours,” adds a source.

Of course the array of gifts were all very, very high end including items from Williams-Sonoma and Geary’s, and shower gifts included Juliska Berry & Thread whitewash dinnerware, Waterford champagne flutes and a Feinberg English Silver wine funnel.

Life in Hollywood is rough.  Don’t you forget it.

Rapper Sean Kingston In Critical Condition Following Jet Ski Accident

Thankfully, Sean Kingston has been moved from the trauma unit to the ICU and is now in stable condition after that tragic jet ski accident.  Investigators are still in the process of figuring out what exactly caused the accident in the first place.  One thing they have determined for sure, there was no alcohol involved.

This is according to a report released by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission,

“Anderson was operating a PWC [personal watercraft] with a female passenger westbound along McArthur Cswy towards the Palm Ave bridge. Anderson struck the bridge and was transported to Ryder Trauma Center in critical condition.”

And in case you hadn’t heard yet, Sean’s female passenger is reported as uninjured.  We will keep you posted on Sean’s status as we find out more.
