The rumours of Arnold Schwarzenegger being a manwhore have been around for ages, but what sent Maria Shriver, 55 packing was the fact that Schwarzenegger, 63  fathered a child with a long-time member of the household staff who retired in January.

On Monday he issued a statement to The Los Angeles Times:

“After leaving the governor’s office I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago. I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family. There are no excuses and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused. I have apologized to Maria, my children and my family. I am truly sorry.”

He added: “I ask that the media respect my wife and children through this extremely difficult time,” the statement concluded. “While I deserve your attention and criticism, my family does not. “

It is when he left the Governor’s office that he told his wife about the child.  Schwarzenegger had provided financially for the child from the start. You have to wonder why someone like him (that can’t keep his junk in his pants) doesn’t get ‘fixed’ so he isn’t spreading his seed around the country.

Can you imagine what Maria Shriver is going through after learning of this? Imagine what their kids are going through? My heart goes out to them. Shriver gave up a successful career in journalism for this man.

The Los Angeles Times declined to mention the woman or her child’s name to protect their privacy.
