Michael Sheen and Rachel McAdams are smitten.  Big surprise?  Nope.  Adorable?  Yes!  We all knew this was fact, we were just waiting for them to come out with it already!  Finally the happy couple opened up to People,

“Yeah, we are together,” Sheen said at the Cinema Society & Thierry Mugler screening of their new movie Midnight in Paris in New York.

About “coming out” Rachel said,

“I don’t think it was planned one way or the other.”

Sheen is pretty head over heels for her too,

“She’s talented, intelligent, beautiful. She’s warm and friendly. She’s very supportive, and very kind, very funny. She makes me laugh a lot,” he says.

And do they have anything in common besides acting? “Hopefully, I have some of those qualities as well,” quipped Sheen.

Then of course she added,

“He’s a fantastic actor.  One of the best.”

McAdams is one of my all time faves… I love seeing her this happy and hello!  They make a beautiful couple.

Princess Beatrice Royal Wedding Hat

If you saw anything form the Royal Wedding, you saw Princess Beatrice’s crazy hat.  It’s like it was the logo of the wedding or something.  Anyhow, she’s auctioning off that famous headpiece on eBay for charity.  The proceeds are going to be split equally between UNICEF and Children in Crisis.

She released a statement about the auction,

“I’ve been amazed by the amount of attention the hat has attracted. It’s a wonderful opportunity to raise as much money as possible for two fantastic charities. I hope whoever wins the auction has as much fun with the hat as I have.”

I think this hat would look fab on my mantle… but.. I am not going to spend over $30,000 on it!  Yeah, the bids are already at $31,957.65!  OMG!  That’s a lot!  But how cool… for the charities!   The bidding ends on May 22 so get over there and place yours before it’s too late!

We’ve been seeing snippets of Beyonce’s video ‘Run The World’ (Girls) for a little while now, and tonight we got to see the world premiere of the video on American Idol.

It is classic Beyonce: fierce, wild fashions and spectacular dance moves all in an apocalyptic environment. ‘Run The World’ (Girls) is from her forthcoming album ’4′. She explained the song to Billboard:

“It’s definitely riskier than something a bit more…simple,” Beyoncé told Billboard.com of the single. “I just heard the track and loved that it was so different: it felt a bit African, a bit electronic and futuristic. It reminded me of what I love, which is mixing different cultures and eras — things that typically don’t go together — to create a new sound.”

This Sunday, May 22 Beyonce will be honoured with the Billboard Millenium Award at the Billboard Music Awards airing on  ABC at 8 pm ET.

PHOTOS - Jason Statham Shops In West Hollywood. Happy Hump Day!

Happy Hump Day to one and all. What better way to celebrate than to see Jason Statham and his manly hotness (does that even make sense) shopping in West Hollywood. I want to loofah my body with his bald little head.

If the day comes (or perhaps when the day comes) that he and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley get married I’m going to die a little inside. Not that I stood a chance (not to mention I’m freaking married), but Jason Statham is just so delicious. Something about his forearms drive me wild. That’s weird I know. What is your something that turns you on about a person?

The casting of Tom Buchanan in Baz Luhrmann’s production of The Great Gatsby had supposedly been down to fellow Aussie Joel Edgerton or Welshman Luke Evans. According to Deadline, Luhrmann has gone with fellow countryman Edgerton (for a role that reportedly had been Ben Affleck’s before he gave it up to direct Argo.)

I’m still not convinced the world needs another version of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic novel, so luminously perfect was the 1974 version directed by Jack Clayton from a screenplay by Francis Ford Coppola and, of course, starring Robert Redford and Mia Farrow. Redford was, in my opinion, at the height of his physical allure as Jay Gatsby and Farrow was, in a word, ethereal, as Daisy Buchanan.

I must admit, however, that I’m curious to see what Leonardo DiCaprio (who has already worked with Luhrmann in 1996′s Romeo + Juliet)  does with Gatsby (he’ll look great in a pink suit-hee hee) and I believe Carey Mulligan will be a more substantial, but no less transcendent, Daisy.

Edgerton has been on a roll lately, another one of those overnight successes that was fifteen years in the making. I first noticed him as Gawain, one of the six hunky knights following Clive Owen’s Arthur in Antoine Fuqua’s ill-received 2004 reinvention of King Arthur. (I don’t care what anyone says, I liked it.) He also appeared in two of my favorite films from 2010, both small Australian independents, The Square and Animal Kingdom.

The latter yielded an Oscar nomination for Jacki Weaver. He’s got five films in various stages of production right now, including the high-profile remake of John Carpenter’s The Thing and Warrior with Tom Hardy, in which both will appear shirtless, sweaty and grappling each other for much of the film.  (talk amongst yourselves, I’ll be right back…)

As Daisy’s husband, Edgarton will step into the shoes worn by Bruce Dern in the earlier version and seeing him go toe to toe with DiCaprio might just be worth the price of a ticket. I’m also hoping for some fiery chemistry between Edgarton and Isla Fisher who has been cast as his mistress, Myrtle Wilson.

Okay, throw in Tobey Maguire as Nick Carraway and I think I’ve just talked myself into this. I like and admire Baz Luhrmann’s films.  (If you haven’t seen Strictly Ballroom, get thee to your Netflix queue, like yesterday!) The only thing that might spoil this now is if he did something crazy like, I don’t know…decide to film this in 3D…

What? D’oh!
