Alcatraz on FOX

Alcatraz is new show that is going to show up on Fox…but not untill 2012!  Yeah, this one is getting a huge buildup.   Executive producers J.J. Abrams and Elizabeth Sarnoff are bringing us something new and I think you’re going to love it.   The cast lined up is: Sarah Jones, Jorge Garcia, Sam Neill, Parminder Nagra, Robert Forster, Santiago Cabrera and Jonny Coyne.

When San Francisco Police Department Det. Rebecca Madsen (Jones) is assigned to a grisly homicide case, a fingerprint leads her to a shocking suspect: Jack Sylvane (guest star Jeffrey Pierce), a former Alcatraz inmate who died decades ago. Given her family history – both her grandfather and surrogate uncle, Ray Archer (Forster), were guards at the prison – Madsen’s interest is immediately piqued, and once the enigmatic, knows-everything-but-tells-nothing government agent Emerson Hause (Neill) tries to impede her investigation, she’s doggedly committed. Madsen turns to Alcatraz expert and comic book enthusiast, Dr. Diego “Doc” Soto (Garcia), to piece together the inexplicable sequence of events. The twosome discovers that Sylvane is not only alive, but he’s loose on the streets of San Francisco, leaving bodies in his wake. And strangely, he hasn’t aged a day since he was in Alcatraz, when the prison was ruled by the iron-fisted Warden Edwin James (Coyne) and the merciless Associate Warden E.B. Tiller (Jason Butler Harner).

Madsen and Soto reluctantly team with Agent Hauser and his technician, Lucy Banerjee (Nagra), to stop Sylvane’s vengeful killing spree. By delving into Alcatraz history, government cover-ups and Rebecca’s own heritage, the team will ultimately discover that Sylvane is only a small part of a much larger, more sinister present-day threat. For while he may be the first, it quickly becomes clear that Sylvane won’t be the last prisoner to reappear from Alcatraz.

Through the course of the investigation, Madsen and Soto will learn that Agent Hauser has known about the prison’s secret history and has been awaiting the prisoners’ return. Soto will witness his life’s work – the history of Alcatraz – come alive. Madsen will be forced to keep her supportive San Francisco cop fiancé, Jimmy Dickens (Cabrera), at arm’s length from the highly classified assignment as she sees everything she thought she knew about her family’s past shattered, all while fighting to keep the country safe from history’s most dangerous criminals.

The rumours of Arnold Schwarzenegger being a manwhore have been around for ages, but what sent Maria Shriver, 55 packing was the fact that Schwarzenegger, 63  fathered a child with a long-time member of the household staff who retired in January.

On Monday he issued a statement to The Los Angeles Times:

“After leaving the governor’s office I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago. I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family. There are no excuses and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused. I have apologized to Maria, my children and my family. I am truly sorry.”

He added: “I ask that the media respect my wife and children through this extremely difficult time,” the statement concluded. “While I deserve your attention and criticism, my family does not. “

It is when he left the Governor’s office that he told his wife about the child.  Schwarzenegger had provided financially for the child from the start. You have to wonder why someone like him (that can’t keep his junk in his pants) doesn’t get ‘fixed’ so he isn’t spreading his seed around the country.

Can you imagine what Maria Shriver is going through after learning of this? Imagine what their kids are going through? My heart goes out to them. Shriver gave up a successful career in journalism for this man.

The Los Angeles Times declined to mention the woman or her child’s name to protect their privacy.

How sad!!! Jennifer Aniston’s sweet, little pooch Norman has died.  He was a 15 year old Welsh corgi-terrier mix who was her “baby.”  Jen’s rep confirmed to People,

“He died a few weeks ago.  He was an old dog and it was just his time.”

I guess this is why Jen bought her new apartment in NYC for $4.95 million under the name, Norman’s Nest Trust.  I feel awful for her.  It’s so awful to lose a pet.  But it has to be even worse when you live alone and are totally single.  Your pet is your companion.

Hopefully Jen will be able to get herself a Norman II to fill his place and christen the apartment.

Robert De Niro 2011 Cannes International Film Festival

It’s another real life movie guys.  HBO is digging on the book The Wizard of Lies: Bernie Madoff and the Death of Trust.  And it’s going to be made into a movie.  Robert De Niro is the man to play the lead as well as produce the film alongside, Jane Rosenthal.

Bernie Madoff ripped off billions of dollars from clients and I don’t think the world has a really clear picture of the monster the guy really was/is.  SO perhaps this film will be the way to show the real deal.

This is going to be a really good, interesting movie.  I am looking forward to it.

Lady Gaga has officially passed the 10 million mark on Twitter. Yes. Over 10 million followers. I do believe that Justin Bieber is in second place with almost 10 million. That is just craziness! Anyhow, this is about Lady Gaga’s latest single that she dropped yesterday!

Angelina Jolie brought the glam in her chocolate Versace gown to Brad Pitt’s premiere of The Tree of Life at the 64^th Annual Cannes Film Festival in France. And that’s a good thing because earlier at the press conference Brad was met with boos.

Brad produced, financed and starred in the movie but when it came time to answering questions at the press conference that the absent director Terrence Malick should have answered, the press was less than patient. Maybe they didn’t like slick-back freaky look he is rocking?

In the film he plays a tough-as-nails father that makes his kids respond to him with ‘yes, sir’ (my husband tries that..sometimes he dreams a little too big), doesn’t allow dinner talk and makes his kids go hungry. At the press conference, he jokingly talked about his own parenting style: “I beat my kids regularly — it seems to do the trick — and deprive them of meals,”

The film also stars Jessica Chastain and Sean Penn. Lots of pictures of them and Brangelina after the break.
