Bethenny Frankel Will Not Be Bullied

Bethenny Frankel Will Not Be Bullied

Earlier this week, Bethenny Frankel was sued for $100 million from her former management company, Raw Talent, for not paying management fees on her SkinnyGirl Cocktail deal with Fortune Brands’ Beam Global which saw Bethenny earn $120 million, making spirits history.

Frankel has finally spoken up on the lawsuit and isn’t phased at all by it:

“Unfortunately, one of the signs of success is being the subject of frivolous lawsuits, like this one,” Frankel says in a statement to THR. “This is simply someone with his hand out, who did nothing to earn it, and I am not going to be bullied.”

Doug Wald of Raw Talent says he set up the meeting of liquor industry executives to net the Real Housewives star the lucrative deal, but Bethenny doesn’t see it that way and she isn’t backing down:

“We are exploring all of our options, including filing counterclaims against these people,”

This is going to get ugly.

Will Smith’s Trouble-Making Trailer – PHOTOS

will smith's trailer men in black

Will Smith is in New York filming the sequel to Men In Black with costars Tommy Lee Jones and Josh Brolin, but New Yorkers aren’t too happy he’s there because of his big-ass diva-like trailer.

Apparently the trailer is two stories, IS 53 feet long, has marble floors, a cinema, offices, meeting room, lounge bar, a full-sized kitchen, big bedroom and bathroom. That’s the trailer he hangs in. Then there is the second one for his full gym.

And if that isn’t bad enough, he apparently has an apartment in New York. And while no parking laws have been broken by the eyesore of a trailer, he isn’t making fans of residents SoHo where they are filming. Sony Pictures Entertainment says of the disruption:

“We know we are guests in the neighbourhoods where we film, and are always respectful of the area residents and businesses.”

Mayor Bloomberg caved in to the complaints and had the trailer moved to a Park Fast lot a half mile away.

You know, Will Smith has earned his money honestly and has earned movie studios a lot of money. So if there is a big-ass trailer as part of his deal, who cares? Good for him for negotiating it. It’s not like it will be there for years to come. Filming is usually short-lived.

What do you think? Too much? Should Will just keep it real and live like the rest of celebrities on movie sets?

Well, This Is Akward

Well This Is Akward - Cannes Film Festival

I don’t know why, but these photos struck me as funny. Maybe my sugar is low, I don’t know. But can you guess the arms? This happened in Cannes on Day 2 but the arms belong to someone from Day 1 (although clearly he’s there on day 2). That’s a hint.

Okay I can’t make you wait any more. Those arms belong to Woody Allen and the man he is holding onto is Michel Denisot. I’m not sure what happened to result in this position but it’s gold. It’s Friday and it’s gold. I love it. His daughter, child bride must be so very proud right about now. Yup. You married him honey. He’s all yours.

Allen was appearing on Denisot’s show Le Grand Journal where either the urge to drop to his knees was beyond overwhelming or Allen slipped and Denisot was trying to help him out. I’m going with Door Number 1. It’s funnier. Seriously these pictures crack me up.

CONFIRMED: Ashton Kutcher Replaces Charlie Sheen on Two and A Half Men

Ashton Kutcher Replacing Charlie Sheen on Two and A Half Men

Ashton Kutcher Replacing Charlie Sheen on Two and A Half Men

Although studio executives are not confirming it at this point, sources are telling Hollywood Reporter that Ashton Kutcher is going to get a huge payday for replacing Charlie Sheen on Two and A Half Men.

Apparently Hugh Grant passed on the opportunity so Chuck Lorre wrote a storyline that would fit Ashton Kutcher. And according to a source: “It’s really funny,” People are going to love it.

If you think about it, he will be a fabulous asset. He soared to fame in That 70′s Show and his personality and comedic timing are perfect for Two and A Half Men. It’s doubtful his character will be like Charlie’s but that doesn’t mean it will be less funny. True to the original timeline of May 18, a decision is all but inked.

At one point they were considering a few guys including Jeremy Piven, who if you think about it, would be very similar to Charlie’s character (and FABULOUS).

Despite formal confirmations not coming from CBS, Warner Brothers or Kutcher’s rep, Kutcher did tweet about 1/2 hour ago:

what’s the square root of 6.25?

Duhhhhhh 2.5. Winning. What do you think? A good fit or not?

‘Elite Killers’ Jason Statham and Clive Owen Will Be Released This Fall

‘Elite Killers’ Jason Statham and Clive Owen Will Be Released This Fall‘Elite Killers’ Jason Statham and Clive Owen Will Be Released This Fall

It’s only the second day, but the Cannes film market is already busier than a Wal-Mart on Black Friday. The Killer Elite, an action adventure thriller starring two of the three manliest men working in showbiz today, Jason Statham and Clive Owen, will be released Fall of 2011 by Open Road, the new distribution company launched by theater chains AMC and Regal.

The Stath plays Danny, a living-in-exile, uber-skilled special-ops agent. He’s called upon to put his old team back together to penetrate (yeah I said it) a covert unit of the British Special Air Service (SAS) known as “The Feather Men,” led by Clive Owen’s Spike.  The plot involves a search and rescue mission to recover Danny’s old mentor, played by Robert DeNiro

The script is based on “The Feather Men”, a non-fiction story by Sir Ranulph Fiennes (second cousin to Ralph and Joseph.)

In other Cannes- related news, the Film District has purchased US distribution rights to Playing the Field, staring the third of the manliest men, Gerard Butler. Directed by Gabriele Muccino (The Pursuit of Happyness) and produced by Butler (among others.)

He plays a former pro-footballer (Soccer to neophytes-the kind of football played with the feet) trying to reconnect with his son only to be waylaid by desperate housewives, cougars and ubiquitous soccer-moms (considering the number of women who consider Butler to be sex-on-a-stick, there is a serious dearth of love scenes in his films, so I don’t care if it’s ‘waylaid’ or any other kind of laid, as long as it’s on screen. Preferably with tongue).
