Rachel McAdams went “public” with her relationship with actor Michael Sheen last night at the Cannes Film Festival premiere of their new movie, Midnight in Paris.

Nothing shocking about that. The pair, who met on the set of the film, have been spotted together periodically over the last few months, but have previously kept their relationship quiet. Both are veterans of high-profile relationships. McAdams had a famous on again/off again fling with her Notebook co-star, Ryan Gosling for years. Sheen slightly less famously had a long term relationship with Kate Beckinsale, with whom he shares a daughter.

What seems to be shocking to some people is the age difference between the two. McAdams, who looked STUNNING in a red silk organza Marchesa dress last night, is 32 while Sheen, who in my opinion looked pretty damn good in a Dolce & Gabbana tux, is 42.  Big deal. So there’s some grey in his beard, big deal. Some of us adore a little salt in the pepper. Some of us also know that talent is sexy and Mr. Sheen is massively talented.

What I find most amusing is that there are other actors in the same age range as Sheen *coughGerardButlercough*, for whom dating a 32 year old might be seen as a step in the right direction.

Beyonce - Billboard Magazine

Beyonce is gearing up to receive her big Billboard Millennium Award and she’s dazzling on the cover of Billboard magazine.  Can you say sexy, powerful DIVA?!  Here are a couple of excerpts from the article:

Whenever you put out a new song, it seems to generate a catchphrase. Is that something you think about?

That’s what I always want to do – I’m attracted to songs that will become a dinner conversation! [laughs] With “Single Ladies,” clearly I’d just gotten married, and people want to get married every day – then there was the whole Justin Timberlake thing [recreating the video] on “Saturday Night Live,” and it was also the year YouTube blew up. With “Irreplaceable,” the aggressive lyrics, the acoustic guitar, and the 808 [drum machine] – those things don’t typically go together, and it sounded fresh. “Crazy in Love” was another one of those classic moments in pop culture that none of us expected. I asked Jay to get on the song the night before I had to turn my album in – thank God he did. It still never gets old, no matter how many times I sing it.

The new single, “Run the World (Girls),” is a very bold statement for you.

It’s definitely riskier than something a bit more…simple. I just heard the track and loved that it was so different: it felt a bit African, a bit electronic and futuristic. It reminded me of what I love, which is mixing different cultures and eras — things that typically don’t go together — to create a new sound. I can never be safe; I always try and go against the grain. As soon as I accomplish one thing, I just set a higher goal. That’s how I’ve gotten to where I am.

Angelina Jolie the tourist premiere

Angelina Jolie got some new ink last month and there was tons of speculation as to what the new coordinates were on her arm.  All of the others were for her six children’s birthplaces, and so we all wondered if the new one meant a new adoption or perhaps had something to do with Brad Pitt.  Well, the correct answer is Brad.

“Well if they know that it’s latitude and longitude they would have figured out quickly that it was Brad’s birthplace.” Jolie told Extra on Wednesday. “It’s Shawnee, Oklahoma.”

So no new babies… not at the moment anyhow for this power couple that just won’t go away.  Oh….. did I just say that out loud?  But we know that at least Brad birthplace has a permanent place in Angelina’s life….. arm… er… yeah.

The Situation

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino isn’t on the best of terms with his father, Frank Sorrentino and this has all been going public for the last couple of days.  Frank been venting on his site and is now ready to let loose completely in a tell all book.

Jersey Shore Italy Gets Delayed, Panic!

“I’m calling Mike on his s–t,” Frank writes. “I covered for Mike his entire life and when I needed his help he left me hanging.”

Frank says that is will include “hardcore partying, drugs, sex, crime elements, you name it.”

Frank’s agent, Robert Fletcher is planning to have the book deal done for six figures and have it released during the production of the new season of Jersey Shore in Italy.

The Situation is super pissed, but of course lets his rep speak for him:

“Mike is extremely saddened by his estranged father’s actions.  The Sorrentino family, Marc, Frank Jr., Melissa and their mother, Linda, remain united with Mike under these hurtful circumstances.”

How legit do you think Frank’s allegations are?  Do you think Mike is guilty or is Frank just trying to get his five seconds in the spotlight?

This is a day for big-ass money. It seems that Bethenny Frankel’s former management team, Raw Talent, is suing her for $100 million because they didn’t receive a cut off of her very lucrative Skinny Girl Cocktails line that was sold to  Fortune Brands’ Beam Global for allegedly $120 million.

She was with Raw Talent back in 2008 and their lawsuit claims:

“[Bethenny] expressly represented that any agreement relating to the exploitation of the Skinnygirl Cocktail Brand would be commissionable under their management agreement.”

They are further claiming that she fired them days before finalizing her big deal. They are suing her for $12 million in lost commission and another $100 million in punitive damages.

That’s seems pretty greedy on the $100 million in punitive damages. I wonder if they would get even close to that?

Some very big male celebrity worth $100 million is being sued for $25 million for spreading herpes to another person. TMZ is reporting that the lawsuit was filed today and that neither person is named with their real name in the lawsuit. However the defendant is referred to in the lawsuit as: “An A-list celebrity of substantial fame internationally”

The two met in Las Vegas on April 1 and according to the plaintiff’s lawyer, Keith Davidson herpes-man:

“entered into a nefarious plot designed to lure Plaintiff into his luxurious hotel room to serve his prurient desires.”

The suit claims the celeb told the plaintiff he had “no venereal diseases.”  At that point, they watched porn and engaged in “mutual oral copulation, mutual self-gratification, rubbing and massaging each other, play-wrestling, licking and (unprotected) intercourse.”  And, it was all videotaped!

On videotape!!  The defendant is male but it is not known if the plaintiff is male or female.

So this is going to drive me crazy until I figure out who it is. How many male celebrities worth $100 million of ‘substantial fame internationally’ were in Vegas on April 1?

Any guesses? I guess one can always google Las Vegas April 1 and see what comes up. However it doesn’t mean that the person’s name does come up as he could have been in Vegas and not have made headlines. Hmmmmm
