The dancers had 2 dances to learn this week on Week 7 of Dancing With The Stars: their own and the group dances. I loved the first group dance. Karina Smirnoff’s pleather pants looked awesome on her, but their dance was fabulous.
Tonight they had guest judge Donnie Burns who is a Latin legend in the dance world so the scores were out of 40 as opposed to the usual 30.
On tomorrow night’s elimination night the musical guests include James Blunt and Nicki Minaj as well as the Macy’s dancers. I look forward to Nicki’s performance.
Who do you think is going home tomorrow night? Who do you think will be the final 3 standing?
Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas - Paso Doble – First off I have to comment on how I simply LOVE Mark Ballas’ hair when it’s this short. Add in a bit of eyeliner and it’s porn in the making. Mark was fabulous at the Paso. This wasn’t Chelsea’s strongest dance though. She tried very hard and she always does but it seemed very unnatural to her. 8/9/8/9 – 34/40
Kendra Wilkinson & Louis Van Amstel – Tango – That Luca guy that was helping out Kendra and Louis is so hot and when he speaks with his sexy accent I drool down my chin. Kendra looked a little mesmerized and guilty for having the impure thoughts you know the girl had to be having. She did a lot of nodding and very little talking. I grunted. Louis really seemed to take charge but I think Kendra did really good. Luca really got through to her. He got through to me too. 8/8/7/8 – 31/40
Kirstie Alley & Maksim Chmerkovskiy – The Jive – This is a very fast-aced dance and you could see that Kirstie was so stressed earlier in the week. I don’t think anyone wants to see her go home at all. Her dance steps were not as flamboyant as Maksim’s but she’s the best! I think what Donnie Burns had to say was so sweet and true. Even though she isn’t the best dancer she makes it very enjoyable to watch. And you know Maks just loves her. 9/7/6/8 – 30/40. Add the group score of 30 and they have a total of 60.
Ralph Macchio & Karina Smirnoff – Quick Step – Ralph Macchio looked so sharp in his suit and hat. This guy works so hard despite being 49 and in pain as he expressed. I thought they were absolutely amazing. He’s another one I really hope stays on right until the end. 10/9/8/9 – 36/40. Combined with their team score of 30 they have a total of 66.
Hines Ward and Kym Johnson – Tango – Very impressive. I love watching Kym dance. I think she is perfection and has an amazing figure. I was quite impressed with Hines tonight. The judges were very mixed. 9/9/8/10 – 36/40 plus their 60 in the group dance is 66.
Romeo & Chelsie Hightower – Samba – I loved how he was saying in the preview he was throwing a party in his pants, etc. I thought Romeo was a little bit too stiff at the beginning of this dance. I mean the guy can move his hips without question. But he didn’t exaggerate the movements like they explained to him that he should. I think he has it bad for Chelsea though. I would love to see him stick around. 7/8/7/8 – 30/40, plus their 30 for group dance gives them 60.
