Back in February’s Super Bowl, they teased us. They teased us again in March. Now, we finally have a trailer for Captain America: The First Avenger starring Chris Evans as skinny little “90 lb asthmatic” Steve Rogers aka Captain America.

From the official synopsis: “Steve Rogers (Evans) volunteers to participate in an experimental program that turns him into the Super Soldier known as Captain America. As Captain America, Rogers joins forces with Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) and Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) to wage war on the evil HYDRA organization, led by the villainous Red Skull”

In the trailer we see Rogers as he volunteers for the experimental program that turns him into a ‘Super Soldier’.

What I want to know is how come his pants still fit? I must say I’m with Atwell’s Peggy Carter, I want to reach out and touch too!

Directed by Joe Johnston (Jumanji, Hidalgo), the cast includes “I asked for an army and all I got was you” Tommy Lee Jones (always a good excuse to go to the movies), Hugo Weaving, Dominic Cooper (as Tony Stark’s Dad!) and Stanley Tucci, whose German accent makes him sound like a cartoon version of Albert Einstein. Only fitting since this based on a Marvel comic book. Besides, he never disappoints. Plus, as if we needed more eye candy, there’s Richard Armitage…(she said, eyebrows cartoonishly waggling)

Captain America: The First Avenger blasts into theaters 22 July in the US & Canada. The UK gets it one week later on 29 July.
