Rebecca Black gained her fame thanks to the power of YouTube and she just kind of bit the hand that feeds her by pulling her “hit” song, Friday off the network.
“We can confirm that we submitted a Take Down Notice to YouTube as a result of the dispute we have with Ark Music regarding the ‘Friday’ video.”
So yeah, this is about money, but it’s her. I can’t believe they are going this route. This isn’t Beyonce people. Who’s really going to care?
This week, Ark set up the song as a $2.99 YouTube video rental….. who would pay for that?! Her people didn’t like it, now it’s gone. Yeah, I am way confused. Can someone please explain?
The long-awaited film version of DC Comics Green Lantern had its red carpet premiere last night in Los Angeles at Grauman’s Theater.
Almost all of the cast showed up to support the film including Ryan Reynolds, who stars as Hal Jordan, Blake Lively who plays his love interest Carol Ferris and Mark Strong who plays the most powerful Lantern of them all, Sinestro.
The film brings the popular superhero to the screen for the first time:
“In a universe as vast as it is mysterious, a small but powerful force has existed for centuries. Protectors of peace and justice, they are called the Green Lantern Corps. A brotherhood of warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order, each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him superpowers. But when a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the Universe, their fate and the fate of Earth lie in the hands of their newest recruit, the first human ever selected: Hal Jordan.
Hal is a gifted and cocky test pilot, but the Green Lanterns have little respect for humans, who have never harnessed the infinite powers of the ring before. But Hal is clearly the missing piece to the puzzle, and along with his determination and willpower, he has one thing no member of the Corps has ever had: humanity. Is it me or did Blake Lively look like she was the bride in a groovy Haight-Ashbury wedding circa 1968? Oh well, Reynolds and Strong along with Jon Tenney, Zachary Levy, Jason Bateman, Temeura Morrison and Peter Sarsgaard provided more than enough eye candy for the dish.

Still not ready to jump on the “Sexiest Man Alive” bandwagon but he’s still growing on me. Green Lantern opens in theaters everywhere tomorrow June 17!

Seriously, do these not look 60′s era James Bond by way of Saul Bass (who did the titles and poster art for Hitchcock’s 50′s and 60′s films like North by Northwest, Psycho, Vertigo and The Birds) and totally psychedelically groovy?
I love how Jake Lonergan’s (Craig) “gadget-y” Bond-like bracelet is featured so prominently. Shockya.com is not sure if they are “official” or not but they do have the names of all three major studios whose participation is involved with getting this movie out there. And they look too good not to share! I think I like the ‘purple and gold’ one a little bit more than the blue, but I could go either way. What about you?
Well, I told you to expect more from me on the subject of this movie and it seems the press machine is already in overdrive ahead of the July 29 release. I’m sure I’ll be back!
Christina Aguilera is turning heads the wrong way on NBC’s The Voice. It looks like her diva attitude is making a super sized comeback. Yeah, she’s plumping up in more than one way.
“Christina didn’t wave or say hi to the audience. She came out three minutes before the show started and appeared to be in a horrible mood. She didn’t crack a smile until Cee Lo Green reached out to high-five her. During commercial break, she had about six people working on her all dressed in black and red ‘Team Xtina’ shirts, and one person had a bottle of water with a straw she held as Christina sipped.” Later, “Christina threw her Louboutins on her desk and ran out holding her bladder. Someone ran out to get her shoes in a tizzy and the judges all looked at each other trying to figure out where she went.”
Okay, she is either going super diva on us or she’s all knocked up. What do you think it could be?
Crystal Harris is a total gold digger. Everyone knows that. But come on! Does she have to do this? She dumps Hugh 5 days before the wedding then blabs away like we are going to believe her!
“For a while, I’d been having second thoughts about everything, so I haven’t really been at peace with myself lately,” Harris, 25, told Ryan Seacrest Wednesday morning on his KIIS-FM radio show. “It was all just happening too fast for me. I just sat back and thought about it all,” she continued. “Is this what I wanted? And it wasn’t. There was no fight. He understood, and we both agreed that it wasn’t the best idea to get married. He was doing it for me because he thought it was what I wanted.”
Pretty sure you were just using the old guy for all you could, then ran away, skank style. If you had any respect, it’s gone now.
