Ahead of this Friday’s June 17 release of Green Lantern, Warner Brothers has unleashed a new tv spot featuring Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan. In this one, it appears he’s decided this Green Lantern thing isn’t so bad after all and seems to be having some fun with it. Well, he looks good and that’s all that counts:

Warner’s has also given us a new behind the scenes featurette with a lot more Ryan Reynolds, if you’re into that sort of thing:

We also get some Mark Strong, both as himself and as Sinestro.

The BTS clip probably gives us the best sense of what we can expect from the movie, as well as the enthusiasm of the cast and filmmakers, that we’ve had to date. Roll on Friday!

Are Shannon Tweed and Gene Simmons done with their relationship? Some are suggesting so based on the premiere of the new season of Gene Simmons’ Family Jewels.

The Playboy Playmate and Kiss lothario are doing the rounds promoting their reality show and visited Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford on the Today Show where they admitted their relationship of 28 years has ‘unraveled’.

Shannon looked quite miffed during the interview and it looked tense on set, but one has to wonder if that is for promoting the show or what.

While I detest Gene Simmons’ need for having women hang off of him everywhere he goes (that gets real old real fast), Shannon has known he was like this since the beginning. I’ll give Gene credit in that he didn’t lie. However now that the kids are in college and out of the nest, I guess Shannon is realizing she gave this douche the best years of her life. Why she hung around I’ll never understand, but it’s never too late.

Taylor Momsen of the band The Pretty Reckless promotes 'Light Me Up'

Taylor Momsen is a 17-year-old girl who apparently has no clue what it means to be unique and classy all at the same time.  It’s really sad to see her make a constant ass out of herself.

The Pretty Reckless frontwoman flashed the crowd during their  Sunday performance at the Download Festival in Castle Donington, England. Oh but maybe in her twisted mind, covering her nips in black tape is classy?

“I’m an extremist and I very much enjoy pushing the boundaries when it comes to fashion,” Momsen told Us Weekly at the Kids’ Choice Awards in April. “I don’t care what people have to say about my style. Fashion’s not for everyone. I’m not asking you to wear it.”

Really?  Cause I just thought it was tacky….

Anthony Weiner Press Conference

President Obama thinks Congressman Anthony Weiner should resign.  Well, I think the entire planet is in agreement.  On Today, he told Ann Curry,

“I can tell you that if it were me, I’d resign.  Well, obviously what he did was highly inappropriate. I think he’s embarrassed himself, he’s acknowledged that, he’s embarrassed his wife and his family.”  Obama continued, “And when you get to the point where, because of various personal distractions, you can’t serve as effectively as you need to — at the time when people are worrying about jobs and their mortgages and paying the bills — then you should probably step back.”
