Alicia Silverstone and Baby Bear Blu

Alicia Silverstone shared her first photos of her new son, Bear Blu Jarecki with Us Weekly.  She and her  husband Christopher Jarecki welcomed him into the world on May 5.  He weighed in at 7 pounds, 15 ounces, and “had crazy amounts of hair when he came out,” Silverstone tells Us. “He’s really calm.”

Motherhood has meshed really well for Alicia, and I am not at all surprised, she’s got an amazingly huge heart.

“I didn’t leave the house at all for six weeks after his birth,” Silverstone tells Us. “I wanted to soak in every moment of his scrumptiousness.”

Daddy is enjoying this new life adventure as well,

“We all take baths together sometimes,” she notes.

Well, he is perfection!  Congrats to the happy, little family!

Hugh Hefner, Crystal Harris, Anna Sophia Berglund

Hugh Hefner got himself a new girlfriend (Anna Sophia Berglund) quick style when Crystal Harris practically dumped him at the altar, but apparently, he’s not too happy.  Witnesses at the Karma Foundation’s Kandyland party at the Playboy Mansion last weekend, said that Hef looked pretty bummed out, even with Anna Sophia Berglund at his side.

“He didn’t hold her hand or act lovey-dovey at all,” a partygoer at the Mercy hangover prevention drink-sponsored event tells In Touch. “He just had a blank look on his face, he was so miserable.”

He ended up leaving 20 minutes in to the party.  That’s how down the guy is feeling.  It must be all the reports coming out about Crystal and all the nasty things she’s said and done since she split.

The Prada do not fall far from the shelves, oui? Rachel Zoe’s son Skyler Morrison Berman is ready for his close-up bitches as he  rocked some baby sunglasses as mommy and nanny took him shopping at Whole Foods the other day. Because only pheasants go shopping without nannies.

This is totally Rachel Zoe’s son, isn’t it? He’s just 3 months old (born March 22, 2011) and is Rachel Zoe’s first child with husband Rodger Berman. Being a first-time mom at 39 was certainly worth it for the fashion icon as not only did she get Skyler, she got a big honking diamond ring as a ‘push’ present. Bitch.

Back in March we told you that Elizabeth Taylor’s jewels would be going to auction, and less than a year after her death (March 23, 2011) at the age of 79, her jewels, art, memorabilia and fashion will go to auction starting December 3.

The 10-day exhibition will be held at Christie’s where they will be holding it in the Rockefeller building. But if you live in Moscow, London, Los Angeles, Dubai, Geneva, Paris, or Hong Kong you will have a chance to see it during a 3 month exhibition that will take place starting in September.

A portion of the proceeds from the exhibition will go to her charity The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation.

Christie’s describes the sale of her jewellery as:  ”one of the most remarkable jewelry events in auction history.”

At the time of her death, her jewellery was estimated to be worth $100 million! All items will be sold at the New York auction save for the art which will be sold at the London auction in February.

Christine’s online auction will be running at the same time as the live auction. No word on what pieces of jewellery will be auctioned, but can you imagine the price of the insurance and security coverage for the exhibition?

It’s still sad to think that the world lost such an amazing person as Elizabeth Taylor. I can’t help but think she’s with Michael Jackson now.

At last, we get to see a trailer for Steven Spielberg’s War Horse!

Based on the novel by Michael Morpurgo, the movie follows Albert and his beloved horse, Joey who is sold to the cavalry and sent to the trenches of World War I. Despite being too young to enlist, Albert heads to France to save his friend. It certainly looks like what we’ve come to expect from a big sweeping Spielberg film, complete with beautiful cinematography from frequent Speilberg collaborator Janusz Kaminski.

The screenplay was written by Richard Curtis (Love,Actually) and Lee Hall (Billy Elliott), so I’m hazarding a guess here, but I imagine the movie will bring more than one tear to the eye, especially when you add in that typically grand score by John Williams.

The film stars Emily Watson, Benedict Cumberbatch, David Thewlis, Tom Hiddleston, Toby Kebell and a whole host of great Brit character actors including Geoff Bell and Peter Mullan. Albert is played by newcomer Jeremy Irvine.

War Horse sprints into theaters in the US on 28 December 2011 (in time for awards season) and the UK on 13 January 2012.

Woo hoo! Finally a trailer for the latest installment in the Tom Cruise franchise, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol ! The latest entry is helmed by Brad Bird, making his live-action directorial debut. He’s most well known for directing animated classics, The Incredibles and Ratatouille. Frankly, I think that’s great preparation for this. He should have no trouble animating Tom Cruise.

After watching the trailer I know two things. First, I still have no idea what the film is about. Although does that really matter? It’s got great locations, great stunts, gadgets and explosions. From the very first this has kind of been the ‘Americanization of James Bond’ and that’s just fine with me considering how long we have to go between Bond films. Tom Cruise is no Daniel Craig but luckily, he does surround himself with good actors. This time around we get Jeremy Renner (YAY!), Josh Holloway, Mikael Nyqvist (another YAY! I’m glad we’ll see him in something other than the Millenium Trilogy!), Simon Pegg (I have no idea if his role is comedic or dramatic since we only see him walking across a lobby, but I’m excited he’s in it in any case) and Anil Kapoor.  On the distaff side, we get Leah Seydoux (Robin Hood, Midnight in Paris) and Paula Patton (Precious).

The second thing I know from the trailer is that the song Eminem recorded for the film kicks ass. But is it just me or did you imagine Les Grosman* rockin’ out to it?

Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol haunts theaters in the US beginning December 16, 2011.

*Tom Cruise’s character from Tropic Thunder. If you haven’t seen it, I can’t explain it.
