Rihanna - Man Down

The Parents Television Council is pretty pissed off at Rihanna for her latest video, Man Down.  It is too violent according to their standards.  They say that she is performing a “cold, calculated execution of murder” and that isn’t okay.

The dude is a rapist and she’s killing him.  I say, BRAVO!  Who doesn’t want to see a rapist die?

The big argument is that she is setting a bad example.  I think not.  She’s not some gangster thug out there killing people in the video, she’s taking out a bad guy.  How is this different than an old western flick?

This video was kick ass and I am about sick of all the censoring.

Lady Gaga might come off as a bit on the odd/eccentric side, but she is still human and has a big heart.  For instance, she gets very emotional about her ex, Luc Carl when she sings, You and I.

I am sure she will be hosting in the upcoming season.

“So the greatest gift, when I didn’t know what happened, was that I would have such a close connection with my fans and that’s the greatest accomplishment of my life so far,” she adds. “Truthfully, the greatest accomplishment in my career thus far is that I truly have a genuine, authentic, and beautiful relationship with little monsters. That makes it all worth it.”

Darius Rucker The Academy of Country Music Awards 2011

Former Hootie and the Blowfish’s Darius Rucker has some crazy fans… so it isn’t just Justin Bieber!  Yeah, I know, all the stars have crazy fans.  It’s just that one of Hootie’s showed up at his show in Boca Raton and stormed the stage while he was singing, History in the Making.

Thankfully, he’s got some great security guys who know how to do their jobs!  When the guy jumped on stage, he got dropped just as fast as he popped up there.  What a tool!  But then you know, this guy is all stoked right now because he’s being talked about around the web.

Do you think that was worth it?

Robert Pattinson takes a stroll on the set of Cosmopolis being filmed in Toronto. It’s almost difficult to believe he’s within sniffing distance. In fact it’s quite windy here today so I may actually be breathing in some of his scent. I wonder what he smells like? A rainy day, lilacs? Or a vampire? I picture vampires to smell kind of musty so I’m going with lilacs instead of soul-sucking vampire-smell.
