Charlie Sheen Has A New Sitcom And Will Make MORE Money Than Ever!

Charlie Sheen Has A New Sitcom And Will Make MORE Money Than Ever!

Charlie Sheen is laughing all the way to the bank! Not only did Charlie Sheen just sign on for a new sitcom with Lionsgate Television, he’s set to make more money than ever! Take that Chuck Lorre. Sheen earned $2 million per episode on Two and a Half Men and although he won’t be making that much per episode on the new show, he will get much more in the back end (insert joke here).

Radar Online has the exclusive details on the deal:

“Charlie has inked a deal with Lionsgate Television to create and star in a new sitcom,” an insider tells RadarOnline. “Charlie’s character will be very similar to the one he played on  Two And A Half Men, however the show will be a lot racier.

“Networks and cable are bidding on the show right now, with TBS being the front runner. TBS recently expanded their comedy division with the acquisition of The Conan O’Brien Showafter his fall out with NBC. Plus cable makes more sense because it offers more creative freedom,” our insider explains. “In other words the show can be raunchier and more outrageous, which is perfect for Charlie!

“Lionsgate Television will produce the  show. They have committed to ten episodes up front with the option to pick-up and produce 90 more episodes if the ratings prove to be successful. This means the sitcom could be on TV for 8 years, which is a long time! It also means that Charlie will make more money than ever before!”

Lionsgate will also be releasing Charlie Sheen’s Torpedo of Truth shows.

Are you surprised Charlie Sheen is coming back to television? If it’s racier and raunchier it totally has his name written all over it. Winning.

Pixar’s ‘Brave’ Gets First Trailer!

Pixar's 'Brave' Gets First Trailer!

Disney-Pixar has released its first teaser trailer for Brave, an animated fantasy film featuring the fiesty, flame-haired Princess Merida, voiced by the very talented Kelly McDonald (“Boardwalk Empire”).

The trailer has been playing in front of Cars 2 all weekend (and from what I’ve heard, it was the best thing about going to see that particular film.) I’m excited about Brave for a number of reasons, not least of which is that it’s an original story, but at the center of it is a female heroine! This is actually Pixar’s first female lead. The plot revolves around a Scottish princess who defies her parents by pursuing an interest in things like archery, which we see in the trailer along with the beautiful Scottish countryside and an impressive castle looming in the background.  Merida longs to become a warrior, but in her quest “confronts tradition, destiny and the fiercest of beasts” and  inadvertently jeopardizes her father’s kingdom in the process.

Emma Thompson (whose credits are too numerous to mention) is the voice of Queen Elinor, but I’m very excited to hear the brogues of Scots Billy Connolly as King Fergus, Colin Ferguson as Lord Mcintosh and especially Kevin McKidd (“Rome”, “Grey’s Anatomy”) as Lord MacGuffin. His sultry tones can be heard doing the voice-over for the trailer. All I can say is “Oh yes please!” Julie Walters and Robbie Coltrane round out the cast.

Directed by Mark Andrews (The IncrediblesRatatouille) and Brenda Chapman (The Lion KingPrince of Egypt), and produced by Katherine Sarafian (The Incredibles), Brave sweeps into theaters on 22 June 2012, in both 2D and 3D in select theaters.

Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ Jacket Fetches $1.8 Million at Auction

Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ Jacket Fetches $1.8 Million at Auction

Two years after his death, Michael Jackson’s red and black ‘Thriller’ jacket from the 1982 video went for  $1.8 Million on Julien’s Auctions, an online auction house.

The purchaser of the jacket was Milton Verret from Austin, Texas and he plans to put it on display at Dell Children’s Hospital.

Jackson’s own costume designers Dennis Tompkins and Michael Bush put the jacket up for auction and according to Fox News:

Jackson inscribed the jacket’s inner lining with, “To Bush and Dennis, All My Love, Michael Jackson.  The sleeve is also signed “Love Michael Jackson.”

Part of the proceeds from the auction will go to Shambala Preserve where Jackson’s Bengal tigers are housed.

On Saturday, June 25  it was two years that Jackson died at the age of 50 from drug-induced, cardiac arrest. This auction took place on Sunday, June 26.

It is still unbelievable that he is gone.

VIDEO: BET Awards Chris Brown & Rihanna Award Screw Up

VIDEO: BET Awards Chris Brown & Rihanna Award Screw Up

Last night’s BET awards had one screw up that was really quite akward when both Chris Brown and Rihanna were announced as the winner for the same award. Oops.

Nicki Minaj superfan Tiffany Green was lucky enough to get on stage with Terrance and Rocsi at the BET’s to announce Coca Cola’s Viewer Choice Award and first announced it was Chris Brown, then Rihanna.

She looked really confused and that she wasn’t receiving proper information. She reiterated that on her Twitter page afterwards:

Bawling backstage. They totally f*cked me up.

The tablet f*ckin said CHRIS BROWN….the TELEPROMPTER said Rihanna. What the F*CK?????? Goin home.

So BET did that on purpose. Oh. I feel better.

Look b*tches….Im not SLOW. lol They did the sh*t on PURPOSE. F*cked up right? *shrug* smh

You’ve got to wonder if they did that for publicity or what. Tiffany was pretty much booed on the stage but it’s hardly her fault.

BET executive Stephen Hill Tweeted he was the problem:

That BET Awards Viewer’s Choice mix-up was due to human error. And I was the human that made that error. I apologize to ALL affected.

Whether it was intentional or not, it sure has people talking this morning right? Mission accomplished maybe?
