True Blood hottie Alexander Skarsgard is seen here receiving an honorary doctorate degree of arts from Leeds Metropolitan University in London, England today. This means we can call him Doctor, which means that doctor/nurse fantasy we have going on can inch its way closer to fruition. No need to toss the outfit out just yet. Don’t you just love when a plan comes together?

True Blood Season 4 Premiere Party PHOTOS

Now let’s talk about the changes going on with his True Blood character Eric Northman has had his vampire head messed with thanks to some witch. He’s so much more likable though now. He’s showing such a sweet and vulnerable side of his character. However, having said that, you just know it’s only a matter of time before that changes, right?

The head of Lionsgate’s Theatrical Marketing, Tim Palen, also shoots many of the studio’s posters himself. Wow, what a Renaissance man. Who knew? Well, in any case he is responsible for the poster for Warrior, starring Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton. The photo shoot that resulted in the poster, also resulted in a new book of photographs featuring the two stars as well as some of the real MMA fighters (Nate Marquardt, Erik Apple, R.J. Messenger) who also appear in the movie. Thanks to NY Mag’s “Vulture Blog” we get to see some of the pics from the book.  The 128-page tome , The Men of Warrior, will be on bookshelves on August 9th,  a month ahead of the movie.  Just to get you stoked…or is it just me?

Did I mention that Tom Hardy is shirtless is most of them? Tim Palen certainly has an eye for male pulchritude, not to mention blood and sweat. There was no mention of tears.

LOOOOVE Hardy’s tatts, which are both delicious and very real, but still not digging how his gorgeous mouth looks distorted, as if he’s wearing his mouth guard from the fight. No one should ever mess with that mouth.

Hardy and Edgerton play the  battling Conlon brothers in director Gavin O’Connor’s film. Hardy plays Tommy, an ex-Marine just back from Afghanistan and Edgerton plays Brendan, a schoolteacher with money problems. They’re both former MMA fighters and end up back in the ring (cage?) fighting each other for a championship. Nick Nolte plays the pair’s grizzled father who coaches Tommy.Jennifer Morrison is Brendan’s wife, Tess.

Warrior muscles its way into theaters in the US & Canada on September 9 and 23 September in the UK.

Yahoo has a new clip from Rupert Wyatt’s Rise of the Planet of the Apes! This one contains an introduction by Andy Serkis (who ‘plays’ Caesar) on the motion capture process and the differences between this film and others using the technique.

“An origin story set in present day San Francisco, where man’s own experiments with genetic engineering lead to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy. ”

The clip features Serkis as Caesar along with James Franco and John Lithgow. I have to say this wasn’t really on my radar until this. The interaction between human and ‘simian’ is quite touching. After watching Kim Hunter’s Zira manage to elicit pathos (when she lost her baby) with the makeup that was state-of-the-art in 1968, I can only imagine what can be accomplished with all of the minds and talents of Peter Jackson’s WETA. (I did not see Tim Burton’s version in 2011 and in any case, this is the first one not to use humans in monkey suits) Seems to me, that if one is able to relax and enjoy and not look too hard for the zippers up the backs of the chimps, this looks like it could be a great summer ride.

In addition to Serkis, Franco and Lithgow, Rise of the Planet of the Apes stars Tom Felton, Brian Cox and Freida Pinto. “Apes will rise” in the US on August 5 and in the UK on 12 August.

When Justin Timberlake is with any member (past or present) of Saturday Night Live, you KNOW it’s a good time.

Last night, while promoting his ‘Friends With Benefits’ movie he hit up Jimmy Fallon’s late night show and the two got their rap on with History of Rap 2. They perform It Takes Two, Push It and my personal favourite Hot in Here along with other songs.

These two are amazing on their own, but together, Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon are IT! These two need to start doing concert tours together! Have a watch and enjoy. It is great entertainment.

Michelle Obama Guest Starring on Reality TV

Michelle Obama is going to be appearing on “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” in an effort to help build a new greenhouse and a children’s play area for a community resource center for homeless female military vets in Fayetteville, N.C.

Michelle Obama Chooses Jessica Simpson

The First Lady will be on location filming the episode on Thursday and then the show will air sometime in October.  If you have never watched this show, you should.  It’s very touching.

Michelle is always involved in good charities and special events.  This one surprised me a little bit though.  The First Lady on reality TV kind of cracks me up a bit.
