Official Trailer and Poster for Hugo

We showed you the poster the other day, well, actually a picture of the poster. Now we have an actual clear vision of the poster for Martin Scorsese’s family oriented adventure, Hugo.
The first official trailer has dropped as well. The quest for news on this one was just too much for Paramount, who released the trailer to Apple yesterday.
I can’t wait! This looks like so much fun! I’m still having a difficult time reconciling the fact that these family friendly images were directed by Martin Scorsese. Not only is it his first family film, but it’s his first foray into 3D. This one won’t be converted in post, it’s being filmed that way. Just goes to show, we call all learn new tricks. Speaking of tricks, love that Sir Ben Kingsley’s character is a magician. Not enough outright ‘magic’ anymore. Sascha Baron Cohen running through the train station reminded me of The Child Catcher from Chitty Bang Bang crossed with Phineas Prune from The Christmas That Almost Wasn’t. I love the production values. The design is by Dante Ferretti with cinematography by Robert Richardson, both long-time Scorsese collaborators.
I’m sure this is but the tip of the ice berg in terms of Hugo goodies still to come. We have a long way to go before the November 2012 release!
