Justin Timberlake says YES to Marine Corps invite!

On Wednesday we reported that Justin Timberlake got asked out by corporal Kelsey DeSantis who followed in the footsteps of Sgt. Scott Moore (who asked Justin’s Friends With Benefit’s’ costar Mila Kunis) by posting a video on YouTube asking him to accompany her to the Corps Ball in November.

Seeing as Justin kind of put Mila on the spot (not that it would have mattered, really), Justin himself was put on the spot at a press conference promoting Friends With Benefits. His response:  ”I’ll tell you what: I accept”.  He liked that corporal Kelsey DeSantis threw in a mention of Justin’s song ‘Cry Me A River’.

You know this is a trend  that we haven’t seen the end of right?

As shocking as Jennifer Lopez 41, and Marc Anthony 42, splitting, it’s not really. Back on the 4^th of July weekend it was revealed in a blind reveal that Marc was allegedly cheating with his backup singer.

The couple have released a joint statement:

We have decided to end our marriage,” they tell PEOPLE exclusively in a joint statement. “This was a very difficult decision. We have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters.”

“It is a painful time for all involved,” the statement continues, “and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time.”

The two have been married since 2004 and have 3 year old twins Max and Emme.

Roseanne Barr was on David Letterman the other night promoting her new reality show Roseanne’s Nuts on Lifetime. She bought a nut farm, sight unseen and this reality show follows her on her journey to harvest nuts (personally a dream of mine). She has 5,000 nut trees that she has taken care of herself. She cleared 20 acres of wheat trees.

I know a lot of people don’t like her(and will never forgive her for the National Anthem debacle) but she cracks me up. Her laugh makes me laugh and she can laugh at herself so that’s pretty awesome. Plus she tells it like it is. She’s not phony she’s so real!

Okay, apparently a third trailer for Jason Statham’s latest portrayal of a cockney hard man, Blitz. My first thought is why the hell didn’t I know about this? Blitz is based on the novel of the same name by Irish novelist and one of my all time favorite writers, Ken Bruen. The fact that it’s been filmed, with THE STATH no less, has me doing the demented poodle dance!

Statham plays DS Tom Brant a cop who is both brilliant and psychotic. Blitz follows Brant’s south-east London police squad (Paddy Considine as Porter Nash and Zawe Ashton as WPC Falls) already suffering collective burnout from tragic deaths, bad habits, anger management issues and the wrong kind of friendships. Then a serial killer, nicknamed ‘The Blitz’ (Aiden Gillen- Littlefinger in “Game of Thrones” !!) and aiming for tabloid glory, starts killing cops. A reporter (Harold Dunphy played by David Morrissey) thinks he’s on to the story of the decade and the police and the press both race to find the killer first.

The rest of the cast includes Richard Riddell as PC McDonald (not familiar with his work, but from the pics I was able to find, in my opinion he’s not nearly good looking enough to be McDonald. We’ll see) Luke Evans (The Three Musketeers) as DI Stokes and in a bit of truly inspired casting, Mark Rylance (The Other Boleyn Girl, Angels and Insects) as DCI Roberts, Brant’s superior and uneasy ally and tentative friend. Blitz comes at the midpoint in the Brant series of books, so I’m hoping there will be more. It opened in the UK in May 2011 with no US release listed. Now there are conflicting reports: TheFilmStage is saying the movie is going  straight to DVD and Blu-Ray on August 23, while Movie Web claims that’s the date of a theatrical release. I’ll update you as I get more info. In the meantime, check out these trailers and a short interview with Aiden Gillen!

Garfield beat out a host of young actors  like Josh Hutcherson, Logan Lerman, Jamie Bell, Aaron Johnson and Anton Yelchin for the lead. were also considered to play the lead role. Mia Wasikowska (Jane Eyre), Diana Agron, Imogen Poots (Jane Eyre, Fright Night), Emma Roberts, Lindsey Lohan (she must have auditioned between rehab/jail stints), Lilly Collins, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Hilary Duff were all considered for the role that eventually went to Emma Stone. The cast also includes Denis Leary, Embeth Davidtz, Campbell Scott, C. Thomas Howell, Annie Parisse and Irrfan Khan as Proto-Goblin

The first trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man, will be in front of Captain America: The First Avenger when it hits theaters next week July 22 and will run a respectable two minutes, thirty seconds. So get your popcorn, find a seat and strap in early! The Amazing Spider-Man swings into theaters on 3 July 2012 in the UK, US & Canada.
