“…I want your head!”  Frankly he can have any damn thing he wants. There’s a new 30 second tv spot out for Conan the Barbarian 3D starring my next toy boy Jason Momoa and he’s threatening to follow someone to hell. I’ve already got my bags packed, I might as well go with him.

We get a lot of action stuffed into that 30 second snippet! We also get more dialogue from Conan himself than in previous clips. For all I know there may not be much more than that.  I don’t care. My butt won’t be parked in the seat to listen to Jason Momoa recite, nay growl, Keats and Shelley. Ron Perlman, Stephen Lang and Rose McGowan et al won’t be performing Shakespeare. I don’t care. I know what I’ll be getting: blood, sweat and tears and really big swords.

You may or may not be tired of my ardent promotion of this film. If you are not, come sit by me. If you are…my apologies, it may get loud. Conan the Barbarian 3D is not due until August 19, which means you can look forward to five more weeks of whatever the Lionsgate marketing department wants to share with us.

First Sgt. Scott Moore took to YouTube asking Mila Kunis to join him at the Marine Corps Ball in Greenville, North Carolina on November 18 (she said yes of course). And now Corporal Kelsey DeSantis is asking Mila’s friend and ‘Friends With Benefits’ costar to accompany her to the Corps Ball in Washington, D.C. which is also in November.

You know he HAS to say yes, right? He told Mila she had to do it for her country, well now he has to do it for his country! And he better watch his step because Corporal Kelsey DeSantis is the ONLY female at the Martial Arts Center for Excellence (MACE..hehe does anyone find that funny?) at the Marine Corps Base in Quantico.

I can not wait to hear his response (which BETTER be yes!!). Thank you to Stina for alerting me to this!

Harrison Ford looks kind of grumpy in this pic. This is Ford as Col. Dolarhyde (sorry the name Dolarhyde will always make me think of Manhunterand Red Dragon) in Jon Favreau’s Cowboys & Aliens. Maybe you’ve heard of it?

I think  he’s sad because there are some folks out there who are still on the fence about his new movie, Cowboys & Aliens. Frankly, that just boggles my mind. How can anyone resist the combination of Cowboys…and Aliens? I mean it’s Cowboys…and Aliens! Hell, I should let Oliva Wilde, Daniel Craig, Clancy Brown, Paul Dano, Keith Carradine, director Jon Favreau, producer Ron Howard, writers Orci and Kurtzman (is it me or do they look about 12?) and ‘Grumpy’ Ford himself, tell you why this gonna be the coolest movie ever.

While I do think I could go a few more years without hearing the phrase “mash-up” again, it is, in my humble opinion, a clever concept. It’s really a conceit to think, if one is going to believe in creatures from other worlds, that they waited until we were able to take their pictures or build space craft of our own before they came to visit. After all, there have been theories that aliens helped build the pyramids swirling around for centuries.  Maybe they did visit the American Southwest in the late 19th century with the hope of conquering the planet. An invasion has to start somewhere.

The world premiere of Cowboys & Aliens will be at San Diego’s Comic Con (and only open to its attendees) on Saturday July 23, with Harrison Ford and Daniel Craig scheduled to be in attendance. The rest of us here in the States and Canada will have to wait until July 29, the UK until 19 August.

Right on the heels of the first two character posters for Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson, Warner Brothers and iTunes Trailers have gifted us with the first teaser trailer for Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows!

Holmes and Watson seem to be up to the same sorts of chicanery and hijinks that we saw in the first film (If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,) indeed the end cap to the trailer gives us a repeat of a particular instance of their clever verbal badinage from the earlier film, except in reverse. Love it.  We open with the put-upon Dr. Watson (Jude Law), who is on his honeymoon with the lovely Mary Morstan (Kelly Reilly) dealing with the unwelcome intrusion of Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey, Jr.) I can’t wait to find out why he’s in drag for most of it.  We also get a look at Noomi Rapace’s character, Sim, a gypsy fortune-teller. This film picks up where the first one ended, with Sherlock learning about the evil Professor Moriarty (Jared Harris). It will be up to Sherlock to stop the evil genius, easily his intellectual equal, although lacking Sherlock’s moral fiber, before Moriarty can put his master plan into action. Along for the ride this time will be Sherlock’s older brother, Mycroft (Stephen Fry).

How cute is this?? Couple Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez sang karaoke together doing Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow’s hit ‘Picture’. This video was from Sunday night in L.A. so yeah it’s a bit late (I meant to do this last night) but it’s still cute.

After they performed together they kissed. I hope Justin Bieber’s fans don’t all have strokes or anything. But seriously, they are such a cute couple. Even the haters have to admit that.
