A whole car-load of new images from Nicolas Winding Refn’s Drive have been delivered courtesy of Collider.  The best thing about this batch is that in addition to more Ryan Gosling, we get our first good look at Carey Mulligan’s Irene (whose character was originally written for a slightly older Latina – probably along the lines of an Eva Mendes, I’m guessing) as well as pics of Bryan Cranston, Woody Harrelson, Ron Perlman, Christina Hendricks, Oscar Isaac and Albert Brooks.

Let the boys drool over the nubile Ms. Hendricks (and don’t get me wrong, she is gorgeous) or pine for the sweet Ms. Mulligan but, give me Oscar Isaac. (His character is called Standard Gabriel. If he’s “standard” where can I get one and what exactly is a non-standard Gabriel?) I’ve had my eye on this guy since Robin Hood and Body of Lies.  Juilliard trained and originally from Guatemala, he’s played everything from Syrian (Body of Lies) to Greek (Agora) to English (Robin Hood) to Nazarene (The Nativity Story) to Russian (PU-239) and everything in between. He has six films nearing completion for release for the end of 2011 and into 2012. I predict he’s going to be HUGE.

Following its North American debut at the Toronto International Film Festival, Drive opens September 16 in the US and 23 September in the UK.

Well, he didn’t get the hat trick but Michael Fassbender does have two films in competition (not just screening but actually vying for prizes) at the 68th Annual Venice International Film Festival. David Cronenberg’s A Dangerous Method and Steve McQueen’s Shame will go up against Tomas Alfredson’s Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy , Andrea Arnold’s Wuthering Heights, William Friedkin’s Killer Joe, Abel Ferrara’s 4:44 Last Day on Earth, Emanuel Crialese’s Terraferma, Christina Comencini’s Quando La Notte, George Clooney’s The Ides of March, Ami Canaan Mann’s Texas Killing Fields, and Philippe Garrel’s Un Ete Brulant.

We’ve recently seen a trailer as well as new images for A Dangerous Method which explores the conflict between psychoanalysts Sigmund Freud (Viggo Mortensen) and Carl Jung (Fassbender),  as well as new images for Shame, which follows the drama of 30-something Brandon (Fassbender) and his sexual escapades, and what happens when his wayward younger sister moves in with him. I was hoping Steven Soderbergh would bring Haywire as well, but I’m still holding out that TIFF might pick it up.

George Clooney’s The Ides of March is the opening night film in Venice and it as well as several others, including the two starring Fassbender, are on the docket for the Toronto International Film Festival. Unlike TIFF, it should be noted, Fassbender is the only actor with more than one film in contention. Venice is, of course, a much smaller festival but certainly no less prestigious. In fact, less of a film market place than TIFF or Cannes, Venice is basically all about the cachet. It’s also a showcase for emerging world talents as well as a big focus on Italian filmmakers (as is fitting an Italian festival.) I think it speaks to the strength of what this year’s awards season is shaping up to be that so many of the films in contention are not only in the English language, but already have big screen releases planned to order to position them for the season. No US dates for A Dangerous Method have yet been announced but I think at least a limited NY/LA release is just about guaranteed.

Kirstie Alley Visits David Letterman and Looks Sexy Hot Doing So (VIDEO)

Kirstie Alley 60, visited David Letterman the other night looking positively gorgeous in a purple gown. Girl ended up losing 90 pounds in total, 60 of it prior to Dancing With The Stars and 30 from dancing her ass off with Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

Kirstie and Dave go way back and she was well-aware of his `fat`jokes that took shots at her and she reads them out to him. It`s quite funny.

She`s promoting her weight-loss supplements that can be found on her website. David refers to it as Organic Lesbians.

Kat Von D - Jesse James Tattoo

Kat Von D doesn’t seem to care that her ex fiance’s 5th grade face is on her ribcage permanently.  She’s keeping it there.  She apparently has another ex somewhere on her flesh as well.  That is just plain weird.  Girl has issues.  I’d be lasering that crap off quick!  Oh wait, I never would have gotten it in the first place.

She said,

“I love my tattoo” — adding, “It’s more than just a portrait, it has a lot of meaning.”

Kelly Rowland celebrated her third solo album release, Here I Am, at the  Standard Hotel in New York. And that is where the Destiny’s Child trio came back together to support her. Aww, how sweet  or catty not sure yet.

Beyonce didn’t show up till after 1 a.m., yeah, what’s up with that?  A little late, you think?  But all seemed to be okay.  The girls all laughed and bonded through the rest of the night, having a good time.  I guess we will see how things play out from here, right?

Hugh Hefner and Crystal Harris

Crystal Harris bashed Hugh Hefner‘s ability in the sack, but his other girls are coming to the rescue.

“I’ve heard girls say they have a lot of fun in there,” says Hiromi Oshima, a Playmate who spoke to PEOPLE during Playboy TV’s “TV for 2″ party Tuesday night at the Playboy Mansion.

And she’s not alone in her opinion either,

“Hef is a lover,” says Dani Mathers, who works at Playboy TV. “I think they definitely had sex more than that one time and it wasn’t two minutes. Hef definitely has a sex life.”

No matter what, he’s got a huge heart and all the girls love that about him.

“I think the whole thing with Crystal is really sad, and Hef is such an amazing man. He provides so much for everyone that’s around him and all of the Playmates,” says Shanna McLaughlin, who appeared in the magazine in July 2010. “I think some things should be kept private between two people, especially in a break-up scenario.”

Let’s face it, Crystal is a gold digging bitch with only the worst of intentions.  She’s a complete user, and she crushed Hef in the process.  Karma is a bitch and it will get her in the end.
