Blake Lively Has New Ink

Blake Lively New Ink

Blake Lively New Ink

Blake Lively got herself some new ink.  I never thought of Blake as an inky kind of girl.  But she’s all about it.  And I am guessing that her on and off again boy toy, Leonardo DiCaprio is into the stuff as well.

Blake has added a couple of butterflies and some wrap around bands on her forearm.  Totally sexy hippie, right?

What do you think?  Dig Blake with or without the ink?

Now The Thing is…New Images!

Now The Thing is...New Images!

New images have been unearthed for the new remake…no that’s not it…reboot…nope, not right either…sequel…no, definitely not…prequel…mmm…maybe…anway, new images from The Thing. You know…the new movie directed by Matthijs van Heijningen that looks exactly like a movie directed by John Carpenter back in 198s that has the same title and plot?

We showed you a trailer and a poster last week, now we’ve got some cool pictures. The movie stars one of our new favorites, Joel Edgerton (Warrior, with one of our other new favorites, Tom Hardy) so I’m thinking I’ll still be plonking down some cash to see it. The cast also includes Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Scott Pilgrim vs the World as if you didn’t know),  Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (who can be seen in this fall’s Killer Elite), Eric Christian Olsen, Kim Bubbs, Stig Henrik Hoff, Jonathan Walker

The official synopsis: “Scientists in the Antarctic are confronted by a shape-shifting alien that assumes the appearance of the people that it kills. ”

Oops, that was for the 1982 version. Here’s the official synopsis for the 2011 version:”At an Antarctica research site, the discovery of an alien craft leads to a confrontation between graduate student Kate Lloyd and scientist Dr. Sander Halvorson. While Dr. Halvorson keeps to his research, Kate partners with Sam Carter, a helicopter pilot, to pursue the alien life form {that takes on the form of those that it kills}.”

Again…that’s different how?? I really wouldn’t mind so much if the producers didn’t keep insisting that they are different. Is the idea to keep people arguing about it and therefore feel compelled to see the new one? Oh wait…Hmmmm…diabolical. Touche Universal, touche.

Crystal Harris Trashes Hugh Hefner on Howard Stern (VIDEO)

Crystal Harris Trashes Hugh Hefner on Howard Stern (VIDEO)

Yesterday a video of Hugh Hefner’s ‘Runaway Bride’ Crystal Harris visiting the Howard Stern show hit the interwebs and in it she looks pretty grossed out by the thought of sex with Hugh Hefner. I am in agreement with her. Even if it lasted two seconds, it’s two seconds too long, but she knew what she signed up for.  She also talks about how she never saw him naked. I’m thinking this can’t be a bad thing. She says she wasn’t attracted to Hef. I wonder if she told him this during the time she lived with him? Something  tells me no.

Here’s what I have a problem with: she acted all ‘nice-nice’ when she was living with him. And by living with him I mean USING him for the lifestyle, the cars, the free rent, etc, but now that it doesn’t suit her, and she’s walked away from the lifestyle, she’s not only being cruel about him, but being a classless piece of garbage as far as I’m concerned.

No one made her be with him in the first place. We’ve all got a choice, right? Hef is very open and honest about his lifestyle. Nothing is hidden, but clearly her agenda was and when she couldn’t carry on the charade anymore rather than look at all that he did for her (and let’s face it he did plenty), she takes to the media and runs him down.

Seriously I don’t know how she lived this lie for as long as she did personally. However show some grace, dignity and class and say nothing at all if you have nothing nice to say. And in case you were wondering she’s keeping the 3 carat diamond ring and two cars that he gave her. Classy, huh? Let’s hope she can’t breed.

First Look at Michael Fassbender in Shame!

First Look at Michael Fassbender in Shame!

Hot on the heels of its announced inclusion in the Toronto International Film Festival, we get the first images from Steve McQueen’s Shame, his second collaboration with Michael Fassbender (and one of two films that Fassbender will be taking up north, the other being David Cronenberg’s A Dangerous Method for which we got new images a few days ago.) McQueen’s directorial debut was Hunger, the seminal story of Irish hunger-striker Bobby Sands. Fassbender put himself through some horrendous physical changes for that role. (I doubt there’s an ounce of body fat on him after a 3 day bender. By the end of the Hunger shoot, he was practically skeletal.) It’s a difficult film to watch, but it’s an extraordinary performance. Even though he’d been working at his craft for year prior to that film, Hunger along with his by turns predatory and paternal performance in Andrea Arnold’s Fish Tank, put him on the map. I can not wait to see what the combination of McQueen and Fassbender come up with this time around.

Shame is the story of Brandon (Fassbender), a 30-something New Yorker, who also happens to be a sex addict and how his myriad sexual escapades coupled with the arrival of his erratic and headstrong younger sister (Carey Mulligan) cause his world to spin out of control. Hatchey matchey, they had me at Fassbender and sex addict!

With a screenplay cowritten by McQueen and Abi Morgan (The Iron Lady), Shame also stars James Badge Dale (“The Pacific”, The Conspirator,World War Z) and a lot of pretty New York actresses.

Shame has no announced released date. Judging solely on the pictures and the talent involved, I’m guessing that will change after its Toronto debut.
