Demi Lovato tweeted the cover of her upcoming album ‘Unbroken’ that is set to hit airwaves in exactly one month on September 20. She says that her album will appeal to a more mature audience:
Today also happens to mark Demi’s 19th birthday! Happy Birthday Demi. She’s been through a lot for such a young girl, but one thing is obvious: she’s coming back stronger than ever.
Demi spoke with Australia’s Hot Hits about the new album as well as plans for the future including acting and the message behind the first single Skyscraper.
The first feature from writer director Simon Aboud, Comes a Bright Day is an at times funny, sometimes dark, but unexpected coming-of age love-story set during the armed robbery of a London jewelry store.
Official synopsis: Against the backdrop of an armed robbery that goes badly wrong in one of London’s most exclusive jewelers, hostages Sam and Mary, flung together by deadly circumstance, discover their true feelings for each other.
Just as with Bunraku , Comes A Bright Day is on my list because it stars Kevin McKidd as Cameron, a psychotic armed robber (hello!). Thanks to “Grey’s Anatomy”, Dr. Hunt is finally getting some exposure. His voice will feature prominently in Disney Pixar’s upcoming Braveas well. The cast also includes Craig Roberts (Submarine) as Sam Smith; Imogen Poots, who is about to be huge (Jane Eyre, Centurion, Fright Night), plays Mary, Geoff Bell (Rocknrolla) as Morgan and Timothy Spall (The King’s Speech, the Harry Potterseries) as Charlie, the owner of the jewelry store.
Below are a few very short “making of” featurettes, including Kevin McKidd learning to fire a machine gun:
Not sure why this one is called “Daylight Robbery”, but it is a nice little bit of life imitating art:
This one’s the best, with the actors talking about their experiences on the set:
Shooting has wrapped on Comes a Bright Day, so hopefully we’ll get a trailer soon. No release information is currently available, but the film does have a great site at comesabrightday.com.
This photo of Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller in a private jet heading to Mexico would suggest that the two are back together no? It certainly looks that way.
Charlie told TMZ that he’s take Brooke to Mexico as a reward because:
“busting her ass with the boys, and [she's] more sober and healthy than I’ve ever seen her.”
She does look great as does Charlie and I hope that these two can keep up the great work. Charlie seems to be heading down a great path that includes peace and calm. He’s even showing tremendous support to ex-wife Denise Richards and her book being on the New York Times best seller’s list:
What do you think? Is getting back together a good idea or not?
Eva Longoria proves she is no desperate housewife as she is seen strutting her stuff in L.A. on Monday dressed in casual blue jeans, t-shirt and blazer, topped with what I'm guessing is a Birkin handbag retailing in the thousands (or tens of thousands) of dollars.
However, you can get yours for a couple of dollars less on E-Bay. While some people may gasp in horror at that price, I say "You go girl!" Hmmm … is it just me or is Ms. Longoria looking mighty fine since she said adios to what's his face?
This is the last time we will probably see Kim Kardashian as a single woman. Kim is seen here exiting the Vera Wang boutique after her final dress fitting while her assistant carries the wedding dress. Is it me or does the dress look ‘light’. It doesn’t look like it will be a ‘poofy’ dress unless of course it’s a decoy to trick all the pappers who are up her ass today.
Kim looks nervous to me. Does she to you? I guess when you are having a $20 million dollar wedding it can be a bit nerve wracking. See, when you have your wedding at the chinese buffet there are few things to worry about except the fortune in the cookie. Imagine getting one that says ‘that was a mistake’.
Back to the bride and this wedding. Do you think Reggie Bush is beside himself right now? Do you think he’s kicking himself because Kim is the one that got away? I only ever saw a couple of episodes of Keeping Up With The Kardashians where he was on it, but I always thought they were meant to be together. I wonder if Kim is thinking of him at all. I know she is ‘madly’ in love with Kris Humphries but she’s only been with him six months or so. She was with Reggie for years, wasn’t she?
We’ll try to have pictures tomorrow of this over-the-top wedding but chances are nobody is going to have them as security is tighter than the muscles in my legs from all of those lunges yesterday. In the meanwhile enjoy these.
At long lost we have a trailer for Marc Forster’s TIFF entry, Machine Gun Preacher starring Gerard Butler as Sam Childers. MGP is based on the memoir, “Another Man’s War”, the true story of an ex-drug dealing biker-riding criminal who has a religious conversion and becomes an ordained minister who travels to the Sudan, initially to help missionaries build houses and becomes involved with the freedom fighters and their efforts to save the children forced to serve as soldiers by rebel forces.
This initial trailer, much like the first poster, puts the focus squarely on Butler. Whether this film works or it doesn’t will be all up to him. From the two and a half minutes we see here, it’s clear Butler’s Childers is on one hell of a journey. We have to buy the man he was in order to believe the man he will become. I know you’ll be shocked when I tell you I want this to succeed. Butler is joined by Michelle Monaghan as Childers’ wife Lynn, who isn’t given a lot to do in the trailer other than appear supportive. Given what little I know of her, even the brief glimpses we get here, I’m sure their life together hasn’t all been tied with so neat a bow . The rest of the cast includes Kathy Baker, Michael Shannon and Soulemayne Sy Suvane.
Following it’s world premiere gala at the Toronto International Film Festival, Machine Gun Preacher will open in NY and LA on September 23 and then expand to other markets, including the UK on 18 November.
