Season 13 of Dancing With The Stars may not be a complete loss after all! Derek Hough has confirmed that he will be back for Season 13!

The blonde hottie took a break from the last season of Dancing With The Stars so that he could concentrate on a new film role in the independent dance movie Cobu 3D and he’s ready to come back:

“When we’re doing the show we’re in the bubble and we get into the stress and the drama and all of the behind the scenes stuff,” Hough says. “It was good for me to take a season off and see what the audience sees. It gave me a new boost and inspiration to want to do some great things.”

But that doesn’t mean he is done with movie-making. It gave him the opportunity to:

“push myself and introduce me to a career I’d love to do more. It was a fantastic experience.”

I, for one, am ecstatic that Derek Hough will be back on Dancing With The Stars. He’s not only the consummate professional he has a fabulous sense of humor and is just a joy to watch.

…and a collective awwww is heard ’round the web. Which is in turn followed by the sound of millions of women fainting dead away at the sight of these pics of Ryan Gosling feeding a baby on the set of his new film The Place Beyond the Pines, now filming in upstate New York. (I can take or leave the bottle-blond but the tatts are definitely working for me…and those hands…oops…did I say that out loud?)

The film, director Derek Cianfrance’s follow-up to his critically acclaimed Blue Valentine, tells the story of a motorcycle stunt rider (Gosling) who considers committing a crime in order to provide for his wife (Eva Mendes) and child, an act that puts him on a collision course with a cop-turned-politician (Bradley Cooper).

Gosling is also on the cover of the September issue of Esquire and shared some thoughts with the mag on being famous: “It’s like being in a dream. You don’t know anybody, but everybody knows you, everybody reacts to you. You can be walking along in a dream, through a pretty normal world, and then bam, everything seems to be a response to your presence. Everything seems to be driven by you. And that’s notable at first, and you deal with it. And then — and it happens every time — you become aware it’s a dream. Right about then, when you think you have it figured, and that acknowledging that will make it easier, it inevitably becomes a nightmare.”

I’d say he’s literally living the dream. Nyuk Nyuk.

Also starring Rose Byrne (who just replaced Greta Gerwig), Ray Liotta and Ben Mendelson, The Place Beyond the Pines is slated for a 2013 release.

Fightline.com (an MMA site) has a couple of new stills from Gavin O’Connor’s Warrior to share with everyone. We’ve also got a couple of new official pics from Lionsgate and some scans from the “Men of Warrior”.  I hope by now you know that Warrior is the new movie starring Tom Hardy, Joel Edgerton and Nick Nolte that tells the story of two estranged brothers who both end up inside an MMA cage fighting each other for a championship.

Official synopsis: “An ex-Marine haunted by a tragic past, Tommy Riordan (Hardy) returns to his hometown of Pittsburgh and enlists his father, a recovered alcoholic and his former coach (Nolte), to train him for an MMA tournament awarding the biggest purse in the history of the sport. As Tommy blazes a violent path towards the title prize, his brother, Brendan (Edgerton), a former MMA fighter unable to make ends meet as a public school teacher, returns to the amateur ring to provide for his family. Even though years have passed, recriminations and past betrayals keep Brendan bitterly estranged from both Tommy and his father. But when Brendan’s unlikely rise as an underdog sets him on a collision course with Tommy, the two brothers must finally confront the forces that tore them apart, all the while waging the most intense, winner-takes-all battle of their lives.”

I saw a Lionsgate sponsored preview last month and all I can tell you is GO! Warrior opens in the US on September 9 and in the UK on 23 September.

No more rockstar bad boys for Heather Locklear! Gorgeous Heather Locklear (who will turn 50 in September) has confirmed her engagement to Jack Wagner 51, via her rep according to People Magazine. The two stepped out recently where Heather was rocking a boulder of a ring that Jack gave her.

The two have been together since early 2007. This will be Heather’s third marriage. She was married to Tommy Lee from 1986 to 1993 and Richie Sambora from 1994 to 2006. She and Richie have a 13 year old daughter Ava Elizabeth.

Congratulations to the gorgeous couple. I look forward to receiving my invite in the mail. A girl can dream, right?

There’s a new trailer for director Mark Mylod’s What’s Your Number? starring Anna Faris and Chris Evans.

I know a lot of people have been on Team Farris for a number of years, waiting for her to hit it big. I don’t have anything whatsoever against her, but I don’t understand the fuss. Honestly, the only reason What’s Your Number? is on my radar at all is that it was filmed in Boston in the Spring of 2010 and we had what seemed like constant updates on the progress of production. Then it left town and I forgot about it. From the trailers I’ve seen, it looks like a serviceable little rom-com, something that might be good when I’m stuck on the couch with a head cold.

The setup is that a single woman (Faris), after having been fed one of those ‘Cosmo-quiz’ statistics that says that 96% of American  women who have had more than 20 lovers will not find a husband, looks back at the past twenty men she’s had relationships with and wonders if one of them might have been her one true love.  This premise provides opportunity for a lot of funny cameos, including Anthony Mackie, Thomas Lennon, Martin Freeman and Faris’ real-life husband Chris Pratt.

Now of course, What’s Your Number will probably benefit greatly from Chris Evans’ breakout in this summer’s Captain America: The First Avenger. As if to ensure that that is the case, 20th Century Fox, by way of Perez Hilton, has released this little gem…

…although it may backfire. If women were already going to be crying into their Chardonnay over the statistic that is at the core of the film, I imagine the realization that mere mortals do not look like Chris Evans (or Ryan Gosling in Crazy, Stupid, Love or Gerard Butler in a locker room at Parkhead for that matter) might send them plummeting off buildings.

What’s Your Number? opens September 30 in the US, Canada and the UK

Jason Momoa and some other people…okay the rest of the cast of Conan the Barbarian walked the red carpet in front of Mann’s Chinese Theater in LA last night. Seriously though, who was looking at anyone else?

Jason brought along his wife, Lisa Bonet, who looks entirely too blissful if you know what I mean. I don’t want those pictures in my head. Director Marcus Nispel looked he was auditioning for the Pirates of Caribbean ride at Disneyland, but I must say Rose McGowan and Rachel Nichols looked lovely. Rose even looked like Rose. Also in attendance were Jason’s stepdaughter Zoe Kravitz, Mrs. Chris Hemsworth (sans hubby) Elsa Pataky and Tom Arnold, who will turn up at the opening of an envelope.

Jason certainly does shine up well. He can wear the hell out of ‘the right jacket’ (thank you Bounty Hunter) but maintains the badass. Lovethe bit of pocket silk. (hee hee)

Conan the Barbarian opens next Friday August 19th. Be there or be square. The power of Conan compels you!
